To obtain permission, research vessels in the country represented by the Embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and international (intergovernmental) Organization diplomatic channels lodge in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) written notification of the voyage. 5. Flight notification be submitted no later than 90 calendar days prior to the scheduled scientific research work in Latvian territorial sea, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone. 6. the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within five working days after the receipt of the notification of the voyage shall send it to the Ministry of Defence for an opinion and the national environmental service for assessment and decision. 7. If the flight specified in the notice information on the scientific research vessel of the planned trip is incomplete or unclear, the Defense Ministry and the national environmental service within five working days of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed in writing, indicating, in addition to any information submitted. Flight notification is an integral part of the permit. 14. The national environmental service within three working days of the authorisation or decision on refusal to issue it in electronic and paper form sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as electronic-national armed forces naval fleet. 15. the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within three working days of the diplomatic channels in writing notify the applicant of the communication of the voyage national environment service's decision. In this case, the recipient of the permit at least a week before each flight shall inform the relevant national environmental service for flight time, station location, sample types and methods of collection. 18.
