Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 1283 in 2013 (12 November. Delete paragraph 4.1.7. 4. Make the following paragraph 4.1.8: "4.1.8. information society, electronic government and national information and communication technology management." 5. Delete 4.1.9., and section 4.1.10.5.5.3. 6. Add to paragraph 5.6.2., after the word "principles" with the words "including the use of information and communication technologies". 7. Express 5.7. subparagraph by the following: "5.7. area, related to the information society, electronic governance and national information and communication technology management (does not apply to the public fixed and mobile electronic communications networks, national defence and security for electronic communications networks and the networks used for radio and television signal distribution): 5.7.1. informs and educates the public about information and communication technologies facilities and benefits as well as promoting the use of information held by the authorities and to receive the services provided; 5.7.2. promote the management of the institutions, national information and communication technology staff and users of knowledge and skills in the use of information and communication technologies provide opportunities and benefits, providing institutional functions and services; 5.7.3. monitor information society, electronic government and national information and communication technology management policy, ensuring the update of the measures envisaged, as well as integration of other sectoral development planning documents and legislation; 5.7.4. promote the dissemination of good practice, as well as developing recommendations, guidelines or methodologies in electronic government and national information and communication technology management issues, including information and communication technologies in planning, accounting, procurement, implementation, maintenance, sharing, interoperability, security, development and optimization, as well as their use for optimal function of the institutions and services, and content development and access; 5.7.5. collect and maintain data on electronic governance and national information and communication technologies, including electronic services, national information and communication technology infrastructure and information systems (including public information systems), as well as the authorities the necessary information and communication technology support to technical and financial resources and human resources; 5.7.6. developed, as well as assess other institutions developed measures and Government budget request for electronic governance and national information and communication technology and optimization; 5.7.7. information society, electronic government and national information and communication technology development support measures (including foreign and European Union funds and the other financial instruments projects co-financed) initiation, planning, assessment, implementation, management, coordination, monitoring and control; 5.7.8. information society, electronic government and national information and communication technology management policy requires State and local government bodies, as well as non-governmental organizations coordination and organization of cross-sectoral cooperation (pārresor); ".
