The Republic of Latvia Cabinet of Ministers of 2 June 1998 rules no. 207 in Riga (No. 28, 7. §) mandatory requirements for medical institutions ambulatoraj Issued in accordance with article 56 of the law on the treatment of i. General questions 1. terms used in the rules: 1.1. outpatient medical treatment authority — the medical establishment where persons who do not require hospitalization, provides primary and secondary health care services;

2. this regulation lays down minimum requirements, which are subject to outpatient treatment is provided in the conditions of high quality diagnostic and therapeutic assistance and patient care according to the respective outpatient institutions level of qualifications and specialization, as well as emergency medical assistance.
3. these provisions govern: 3.1 requirements outpatient medical institution in the service of the quality assurance system;
3.2. certain functions, the minimum number of rooms in the hospital outpatient setting;
3.3. the minimum diagnostic, medical and patient care equipment in the hospital outpatient setting;
3.4. emergency medical assistance to the required minimum of medicinal products;
3.5. requirements for outpatient medical treatment person qualifications authority;
3.6. requirements for medical services in outpatient Department of operations of the authority.
4. These provisions apply to the following institutions for treatment: ambulatoraj 4.1 health;

II. General requirements for outpatient treatment in the service quality system in 5. 8. 8.3. development of measures for the prevention of errors and deficiencies, and corresponding control measures;

8.5. the proposal for the examination of medical service quality improvement.
9. This provision is 5-8. the documentation referred to in the outpatient medical institution must be regularly updated. 17. Outpatient medical treatment person qualifications authority must comply with the following requirements: 17.1. physician must be certified in the appropriate specialty;
17.2. independently practicing as a midwife for feldšer or must be certified and registered in the Ministry of welfare and the treatment of the person feldšer the register of midwives;
17.3. the certified physician or certified under the authority of feldšer permitted to work nurses and technician, registered in the Ministry of welfare of the person in the register of medical treatment;
17.4. a certified doctor permitted to work under the guidance of certified doctors, but medical teaching under the guidance of a doctor — residents.

21.3.4. endoscopy;
21.4. the physical therapy department.
22. If this rule 21.3 and 21.4. departments referred to medical centres, services are not in accordance with the agreements concluded between the other treatment services.
23. Medical centres can be fixed in a day.

25. outpatient medical centres in chapter staff must provide the following: 25.1. wardrobe;

26. outpatient medical centres in addition to the provisions in chapter 15 of the above equipment must be healing and patient care equipment: 26.1. oxygen equipment;

29.2. biochemical tests.

32. Medical centres in the following part of the endoscopic studies: 32.1. upper endoscopy;

33. Medical centres of the Department of physical therapy must be in the following areas: 33.1. physical medicine procedures;
33.2. physical medicine doctor's Office;
33.3. the procedure for the preparation of the premises;
20.8.-the patient and staff hygiene needs.
34. the physical therapy department medical centres must have the following equipment: 34.1. physical therapy equipment;
21.3. the Chair or couch (in each procedure);

21.4. the various profile support in the patient's body for fixation.
