The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia in 2000 on April 4, regulation 135 (in Riga. Nr. 15, 6. §) rules on qualified staff and the necessary equipment at other child care and upbringing institutions Issued under the Child protection law, article 37 of the seventh part 1. these provisions define the qualified staff and necessary equipment in General and the orphanage without parental care for the remaining child care and upbringing (hereinafter child care and upbringing institution) to ensure appropriate conditions for the child's upbringing comprehensive development, rehabilitation, social and health care.
2. Child care and upbringing institution must have the following personnel: 2.1 the orphan care center-this provision specified in annex 1;
2.2. specialized children social care centres-these rules specified in annex 2;
2.3. the orphanage-farm-these rules laid down in annex 3;
2.4. the crisis center-this provision is specified in annex 4;
2.5. special educational institution (special boarding school (school) development or rehabilitation center)-this provision defined in annex 5;
2.6.-This provision 6 boarding school. staff set out in the annex.
3. Child care and upbringing facility should be equipped with the child's age, his physical and mental health situation of suitable equipment (annex 7).
4. in the case of child care and education institution located in children with severe physical disabilities, the body shall: 4.1 facilities with special ramps, door width, low thresholds and various support units, so that the children would be able to move around in a wheelchair;
4.2. children the opportunity to use the assistive technology that matches their physical disabilities in nature and severity.

7. the rules shall enter into force on 1 July 2000.

2.7.3. one post of the unit to each preparatory class and first class for the blind and visually impaired, deaf and hearing impaired children, as well as children with moderate and severe mental retardation, very severe disabilities or very severe disabilities.

1.4. it is recommended that each institution should have the equipment for drying clothes and footwear.

2. Equipment for the learning and education opportunities: 2.1 for each school-age child: 2.1.1. individual table or in a designated place of training exercises at twin table;
2.1.2. the Chair with the support of the back;
2.2. for six school-age children in the closet or shelves for storing accessories training;
2.3. the six preschool age children: child table with the 2.3.1 child foofy chair next;
2.3.2. in the closet or specially shelves;
2.4. to 20 children: 2.4.1. television;
2.4.2. radio;
2.5. it is recommended that each authority should: 2.5.1. video camera;
2.5.2. the video equipment;
2.5.3. the photo camera;
2.5.4. the piano.
3. the child's physical development Equipment and rehabilitation: 3.1.30 children: 3.1.1. gymnastic mattress;
3.1.2. the trainer;
3.1.3. the gym bench;
3.1.4. swing;
3.2. to 50 children: 3.2.1. Swedish wall;
3.2.2. in parallel;
3.2.3.1-2 trampolines;
3.2.4. two basketball baskets;
3.2.5. volleyball court equipment;
3.3. it is recommended that each institution should be: 3.3.1 the inflatable swimming pool;
3.3.2. the children's bicycles.
4. Equipment for municipal and self-care skills: 4.1 to 4.1.1 six children: Ironing Board;
4.1.2. iron;
4.2. to 30 kids: 4.2.1 the kitchen inventory table;
4.2.2. electric stove with oven;
4.2.3. the household washing machine;
4.3. to 50 kids-sewing machine.
5. the equipment where a child is admitted to the institution, together with her mother while she breast-fed children: children: 5.1 5.1.1 Crib;
5.1.2. table fast and handling of infants;
5.2. mother: 5.2.1 the table;
5.2.2. the Chair;
5.2.3. the bed or couch;
5.2.4. the bedside table and;
5.2.5. closet lingerie and clothing.
6. If the authority is not possible to ensure this annex referred to in paragraph 3, the switch equipment lease agreement with the other institutions on the use of the equipment.
