Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 488 in Riga 2003 (September 2. 47. § 18) the rules on the duty on all kinds of weapons, ammunition, special features, explosives, blasting guards and permission of pyrotechnic articles and special permission (license), the extension of their period of validity, as well as internal security service registration Issued in accordance with the law of the movement of the Weapons article 8, seventh subparagraph, article 36 of the sixth and the law "About taxes and duties" in article 10 the first and second part 1. establish procedures that duty is payable on all types of weapons, ammunition, special features, explosives, blasting guards and permission of pyrotechnic articles and special permission (license), the extension of their period of validity, the internal security service, as well as the national registration fee rates.
2. Natural persons are established such national dues rate: 2.1 for firearms or large power pneumatic weapon acquisition permit: three lats;
2.2. about firearms or large power pneumatic weapon acquisition permit extension – three lats;
2.3. about firearms or large power pneumatic weapons enforcement authorisation – three lats;
2.4. for category B, C or D-smooth-bore firearms long or large air storage energy weapons authorisation – three lats;
2.5. for category B, C or D-smooth-bore firearms long or high energy air weapons storage permit extension – three lats;
2.6. for category (B) or (C) long-vītņstobr (also for the combo with vītņstobr) hunting or sport firearm storage permit – six lats;
2.7. for category (B) or (C) long-vītņstobr (also for the combo with vītņstobr) hunting or sport firearm storage permits the extension of the term of validity – six lats;
2.8. for category B semi-automatic, repeating actions or one short shot in self-defense firearm storage permit-11 lats;
2.9. for category B semi-automatic, repeating actions or one shot short self-defense firearm storage permits the extension of the term of validity – 11 lats;
2.10. for category B semi-automatic, repeating actions or one shot short self-defense firearm carrying permit-16 lats;
2.11. for category B semi-automatic, repeating actions or one shot short self-defense firearm carrying permit extension-16 lats;
2.12. for a firearms permit or large energy weapons, or pneumatic guns ammunition for export from or import to the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Latvia or transit-11 lats;
2.13. the weapons or ammunition to the collection authorisation-50 lats;
2.14. the weapons or ammunition to the collection extension of validity of 50 lats.
3. Legal entities of all types of firearms and large pneumatic energy weapons permit the following duty rates: 3.1 for firearms or large power pneumatic weapon acquisition permit – 10 lat;
3.2. the firearms or large power pneumatic weapon acquisition permit extension-10 lats;
3.3. the property of the legal person registered in the firearms or large power pneumatic weapons enforcement authorisation of five lats;
3.4. the firearms or large air storage energy weapons authorisation – 10 lat;
3.5. the firearms or large energy weapon storage in air permit extension (regardless of the quantity of firearms)-50 lats;
3.6. the service firearm carrying permit – six lats;
3.7. the service firearm carrying permit extension – six lats;
3.8. the firearms or large energy weapons, or pneumatic guns ammunition carriage authorisation – three lats;
3.9. the permit for the firearm or air gun energy removal from the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Latvia or the importation into, or the transit-11 lats;
3.10. the weapons or ammunition to the collection authorisation-50 lats;
3.11. for weapons or ammunition to the collection extension of validity of 50 lats.
4. Operators of all types of weapons, ammunition, special features, explosives, explosive and pyrotechnic articles being of special permission (license) is issuing the following duty rates: 4.1 category A weapons and ammunition imports-1000 lats;
4.2. for special permissions (licenses) of the issue (B), (C) and (D) the category of sports, hunting and self-defense firearms, big and small, pneumatic energy weapons ammunition, components and accessories, cold weapons and special features (except gas grenades and such munitions, which filled with irritant or incapacitating substances and not for self-defense gas pistols (revolvers), as well as the psychological effects of light and sound devices) , export, transit, exhibitions and marketing exposure-1500 lats;
4.3. for special permissions (licenses) of the issue (B), (C) and (D) the category of sports, hunting and self-defense firearms, big and small, pneumatic energy weapons, their ammunition and accessories and cold weapons production (manufacture), exposure to exports and marketing exhibitions – 1500 lats;
4.4. the special permissions (licenses) of the service (A), (B), (C) and (D) the category of service, sporting, hunting and self-defense firearms, big and small, pneumatic energy weapons components and accessories and cold repair of weapons – 1000 lats;
4.5. the special permissions (licenses) of the issue of small arms, air power their ammunition, components and accessories, or cold, or firearms and air weapons munitions imports, exports, transit, exhibitions and marketing exposure-500 lats;
4.6. the special permissions (licenses) of the issue of small arms, air power their ammunition, components and accessories, or cold weapons production (manufacture), exposure to exports and marketing exhibitions – 500 lats;
4.7. the special permission (license) issued a small pneumatic energy weapons, their components and accessories, or cold-300 lats for the repair of weapons;
4.8. the special permit (license) for the issuance of special features (except gas grenades and such munitions, which filled with irritant or incapacitating substances and is not intended for gas pistols (revolvers), as well as the psychological effects of light and sound devices) imports, exports, transit, exhibitions and marketing exposure-300 lats;
4.9. the special permit (license) for the issuance of special features (except gas grenades and such munitions, which filled with irritant or incapacitating substances and is not intended for gas pistols (revolvers)) production (manufacture), exposure to exports and marketing exhibitions – 300 lats;
4.10. for special permission (license) issued 1, 2, 3 and 4 pyrotechnic articles of class imports, exports, transit, exhibitions and marketing exposure – 1000 lats;
4.11. of special permission (license) issued 1, 2, 3, and 4. the class production of pyrotechnic articles (manufacture), exposure to exports and marketing exhibitions – 1000 lats;
4.12. the special permissions (licenses) of the service class 1 and 2 season trade of pyrotechnic articles not in specialized trade objects – 500 lats;
4.13. of special permissions (licenses) of the explosives issue (with the exception of military explosives), gunpowder and explosive guards imports, exports, transit, exhibitions and marketing exposure-1500 lats;
4.14. the special permissions (licenses) of the explosives issue (with the exception of military explosives), gunpowder and bomb components for the production (manufacture), exposure to exports and marketing exhibitions – 1500 lats;
4.15. concerning special permission (license) the issuance of military weapons (including components and accessories), their ammunition, military explosives, blasting guards, military pyrotechnics, propellants, gas grenades and such munitions, which filled with irritant or incapacitating substances and is not intended for gas pistols (revolvers), as well as the psychological effects of the light and sound equipment imports, exports and transit-900 lats;

4.16. the special permissions (licenses) of the military issue weapons (including components and accessories), their ammunition, military explosives, blasting guards, military pyrotechnics, propellants, gas grenades and such munitions production (manufacture), which is filled with irritant or incapacitating substances and is not intended for gas pistols (revolvers), as well as the psychological effects of light and sound devices in the production (manufacture)-900 lats;
4.17. on the special permission (license) to issue blasting or pyrotechnic services national armed forces – 500 lats.
5. the provisions Of this paragraph 2 and 3 set out in government fees should: 5.1 the foreign diplomatic corps and their security;
5.2. national staff who have permission for the use of firearms, the service, the authorisation of personal firearms purchase, storing, carrying, excercise, if it is intended for use in pursuance of their duties;
5.3. a person to whom a firearm is assigned a personal award;
5.4. the large pneumatic weapon energy owners who have purchased the weapons in question until December 31, 2003;
5.5. natural persons, if they need a new permit of residence, surname or name change;
5.6. State and local education authorities established that the intended lessons related to the shooting sports, jaunsarg or military training;
5.7. the shooting-related sports federations and their collective members;
5.8. the foreign with the shooting-related sports federations and their collective members, if these foreign countries from national dues exempt Latvian sports federations and their collective members.
6. the internal security service registration and the issuance of the registration certificate of the State fee rate is 25 lats.
7. the special permit (license) for the extension of the validity of the State fee paid 10 percent of the amount of the rates set out in the special permission (license).
8. the special permit (license) the issue of a duplicate State fee rate is 10 lats.
9. On the special permissions (licenses) of the country issuing the duty rate is 10 lats.
10. State fee payable before the permissions and special permissions (licenses) and the internal security service of receipt of the registration certificate. On the payment of the special permission (license) to do the markup.
11. State fee for permissions and special permissions (licenses) of the service including the State budget.
12. Be declared unenforceable in the Cabinet of 4 January 2000, the provisions of no. 1 "provisions on State toll on all types of firearms and special means of authorisation and extension, as well as internal security service registration" (Latvian journal, 2000, 4./5.nr.).
