Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 352 in 2004 Riga 20 April (pr. No 23 47) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 11 February 2003, regulations No. 74 "requirements for personal protective equipment, conformity assessment and market surveillance procedures" Issued in accordance with the law "on conformity assessment" article 7 1. make the Cabinet of 11 February 2003, regulations No. 74 "requirements for personal protective equipment, conformity assessment and market surveillance procedures" (Latvian journal, 2003, 25 no) the following amendments: 1. to delete the provision in the text the words "non-profit organization" (fold);
1.2. to replace the text, the words "authorized institution" (fold) with the words "notified body" (fold);
1.3. make paragraph 5 by the following: "5. The Ministry of economy in cooperation with the relevant technical standards Committee recommends limited liability company" Latvian standards "Adaptive standards of the European Union.";
1.4. make 7. the introductory paragraph by the following: "7. Protection products are assessed and accredited in compliance with the newspaper" Latvian journal "published in the conformity assessment bodies (notified body). The notified body shall conform to the following requirements: ';
1.5. to replace paragraph 7.4 the word "authorized" by the word "entitled";
1.6. to supplement the rules with 91.1, 91.2 and 91.3 points as follows: "91.1 the market surveillance authorities shall take the following measures: 91.11. where there is doubt as to the conformity with the essential requirements or the requirements of the applicable standard, the standard use of the correctness or adequacy standards, organizing the review and give an opinion on the conformity with the essential requirements by adding the results of the inspection;
91.12. Ministry of Economy reported on inappropriate detection and protection measures taken by the Administration, if found appropriate, which may be considered systematically observed error protection structure, construction or manufacturing. The message added that rule 91.11. documents referred to and the effects of non-compliance assessment.
91.2 of the Ministry of economy reported the findings of the European Commission of the non-compliance and measures taken.
91.3 in Latvia recognises the protection features, which are in accordance with the concluded international agreements and arrangements recognised by the European Union and European economic area countries. "
