Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 466 in 2004 (April 29. No 26 9. §) rules on vehicle technical inspection and the State technical control on roads made under the Highway Traffic Act in article 16, the seventh part i. 8. vehicle technical condition control we distinguish two types of inspections: 8.1. 8.2. new validation – technical inspection, which is carried out within 30 days after the key controls, if the ' key to the vehicle defect or damage are found, rated at 2. rating. New validation is performed even if the ' key found that the condition of the vehicle and the equipment does not meet the requirements of the legislation on vehicle fitting the tachograph or speed, or restraining the requirements laid down in the laws and "greener and safe" or "Euro3 safe" vehicles, passenger taxis or the transport of dangerous goods, and since making the key controls is more than 30 days.
9. If the technical inspections for the last day of the period is a weekend or holiday, the deadline is extended until the next working day.

21. 41. 42. If the vehicle has a defect or damage, rated at 2. rating, driver shortcomings noted or damage. 58. The sports cars that constructive for sports competitions on closed public road sections, the technical inspection shall be carried out in accordance with this provision, the procedure laid down in chapter II, taking into account the following conditions: 58.1. a permit without restrictions to participate in road traffic and give the technical inspection sticker shall be issued only to those sports cars, which are not essentially constructive changes to their design and fully complies with the essential requirements;
58.2. sports cars, which made the constructive changes in part with these rules laid down in the essential requirements, but corresponds to the International Automobile Federation's requirements and thus does not significantly affect and threaten traffic safety or the environment, give permission to temporarily take part in road traffic (road sections closed competitions and training time, or moving from one stage to the other competitions).

67. 68. Until the vehicle's technical condition and evaluation of repair of equipment or make changes that came with the vehicle in question shall be prohibited.

69. 70. X. closing questions 72. provisions shall enter into force on 1 May 2004.

103. Rear-view mirrors 103.1. to ensure adequate visibility for the driver (UR1.1.att.), the vehicle must be equipped with at least the following rear-view mirrors: 103.1.1. passenger car-exterior mirror on the left side and inner mirror or outer right side, but if the rear glass is coated with a light transmission of materials or lowering blinds (blinds), the vehicle must be equipped with outside rear view mirrors on both sides;

103.1.2. lorry-exterior mirrors on the left and on the right;
103.1.3. the motorcycle, tricycle, quadricycle (hereinafter referred to as the motorcycle) – one at the rear-view mirror on the left and on the right. They should provide sufficient transparency;
103.1.4. bus-exterior mirrors on the left and on the right and interior mirror;
103.1.5. teaching vehicle for a category B driving licence, the exterior rear-view mirror, repeating the cabin;
103.1.6. teaching vehicle for BE, C, C1, C1E, CE, categories D1, d1e, D and DE drivers licences,-one additional exterior rear-view mirror on each side of the driving instructor;
103.1.7. the vehicle that pulls on the wider and the visibility of the interior rear-view mirror of a trailer, the more restrictive the raised rear view mirrors on both sides.
103.2. Rear-view mirrors must be certified and labelled (UR1.2.att.): – If the vehicle was manufactured up to the year 2000 – December 31, according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe inland transport Committee in Geneva on 20 March 1958, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, within the framework of the agreement concluded "On the adoption of uniform technical prescriptions for wheeled vehicles, equipment and parts which can be fitted and/or be used on wheeled vehicles, and in accordance with these provisions the approval to be granted for the conformity assessment of the conditions for mutual recognition" attached rules (hereinafter referred to as UN-ECE Regulations) no EU Directive 71/46 127/EEC, or in accordance with the standards applied by the manufacturer (GOST, SAE URu.tml.);
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No. 46 or EU Directive 71/127/EEC, except vehicles of which the conformity assessment carried out individually.
Approval mark key. Class II rear-view mirror with this approval mark approved in the Netherlands (E4) under number 012439. Approval granted according to UN ECE Regulation No. 48 requirements including the 01 series of amendments.
103.3. Mirror must not have visibility lowering damage and coating. The mirror must be adequately secured to moving arbitrarily would not change its position.

104. the audible warning device 104.1. The vehicle must be equipped with an audible warning device intended by the manufacturer, and it must work efficiently.

Approval mark key. Audible warning device approved under this approval mark in the Netherlands (E4) under the number 002439. Approval granted according to UN ECE Regulation No 28.
104.3. to set the Allowed one additional audible warning device, provided that both warning device can not be operated at the same time.
Forbidden to install audible warning device with variable tone height (requirement does not apply to emergency vehicles).
105. The measuring panel meter panel with inventory measurement and indication devices must perform their intended functions, and to operate the measuring Panel lighting.
106. The tachograph 106.1. M2, M3, N2, N3 category vehicles must be equipped with a suitable and certified to operate the tachograph.

106.2. The tachograph must be test plate (label), which contains the accredited or authorized inspection body (hereinafter referred to as the inspection authority) and its address, the characteristic coefficient of the vehicle "W", the length of the circumference of the wheels to the "I" and the last metrological verification date. Tachograph examination to be carried out immediately after installation and at least once every two years.
106.3. Tachograph and the RAM must be sealed for inspection institution.
106.4. vehicle driving wheel size must correspond to the tachograph plate length of circumference of the wheel.
107. The speed limitation device 107.1. with a Bus full of over 10 tons and trucks, laden mass exceeding 12 tonnes, shall be equipped with a speed-restraining, in accordance with the requirements laid down in the Act, regulations governing the fitting of speed of vehicles restraining.
107.2. Speed limitation device must be certified and labelled according to UN ECE Regulation No 89 (UR1.4.att) or the EU Directive 92/24/EEC (UR1.5.att.).
Approval mark key. Speed limitation device approved under this approval mark in the Netherlands (E4) under the number 002439 according to UN ECE Regulation No. 89. The rectangle of the number indicates the set speed.
Approval mark key. Speed limitation device with this approval mark was approved in France (e2) under the number 001241 pursuant to Directive 92/24/EEC.
107.3. The vehicle easily accessible location in the installed inspection plate (sticker), which indicates the speed limiters test taken in the company name and address, setting the maximum speed (km/h) and the date when this speed is set or made it. Speed checks on restraining not less frequently than once every two years.

108. The wheel pads 108.1. N2, N3 and M3 category vehicles must have at least one wheel pad, where size and design meets the vehicle wheel size (UR1.1.tab).

Optional 109.1. Buses, passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as motorcycles with side-car must be an emergency stop sign from a red reflective material-equilateral triangle with edges of length 450 – 550 mm , width larger or equal to 50 mm and the reflecting surface area of more than 315 cm.
Emergency stopping mark must be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 27 (UR1.6.att).
Emergency stopping mark must be free from damage, its design should allow mark stable place on the roadway.
Approval mark key. Emergency stop sign with this approval mark was approved in the Netherlands (E4) under number approval number 03216. After the first three characters shows that the approval was granted according to UN ECE Regulation No. 27 demands, including the 03 series of amendments.
109.2. Buses, light commercial vehicles, and motorcycles with side-car must be a medical first aid kit, assembled under the Ministry of Welfare Health Department requirements. Buses with 25 and more seats should be the following two medical first aid kit.
109.3. Vehicle must be situated loaded and working of the powder (A), (B) and (C) the class or gas fire extinguishers according to fire safety regulatory requirements of legislation (UR1.2.tab.): table 1.2. Vehicle category of portable fire extinguishers in the number and capacity of at least 1 M1 with a capacity of 1 kg or litres at least 2 M2 and M3 with capacity of 4 kg or litre N1, N2 and N3 with a capacity of at least 1 kg or 2 litres N in connection with this more than twice without trailer to the extinguisher must be specified for the validity period.
The fire extinguisher must be fixed in place for this purpose by the vehicle manufacturer, but if such space, fire extinguisher should be kept in an easily accessible place. Category M3 vehicle one fire extinguisher must be located in the immediate vicinity of the driver, the other-in the passenger compartment.
110. the difference and recognition signs 110.1. Latvia permanently registered vehicles that cross the border, must be affixed to the back of the identification mark according to the road traffic regulations (hereinafter referred to as the CSN) requirements.
Such identification mark may also be installed on any vehicle registered in Latvia.
Prohibited to set up one State identification with other national registration number plates, except in the case where the vehicle is registered in Latvia at the time.
110.2. Motor vehicles fitted with tyres with studs, must be affixed to the back of the identification mark according to the CSN.
110.3. Training for driving vehicles with backup control system must be labeled with the illuminated from the inside of the identification mark according to the CSN.
110.4. Particularly serious and/or bulky cargo carrying vehicles and vehicles with manufacturer's specified maximum driving speed is less than specified, CSN at the rear must be affixed to the left (to accumulate) distinguishing sign according to the CSN.
This recognition marks the maximum driving speed limit can be set to other vehicles, if the identification mark indicated on the speed of not more than 100 km/h. 110.5. Vehicles run by a deaf or deaf executives, front and rear must be affixed identification mark according to the CSN.

110.8. All vehicles of categories O3 and O4 vehicles the length of which, together with the coupling exceeds 8 m, must be affixed to the rear of the distinguishing signs according to CSN.
Identification marks must be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 70 (UR1.7.att.).
Identification markings must not be damaged (cracked, faded, broken in URu.tml).
Approval mark key. Identification sign with this approval mark was approved in the Netherlands (E4) under number approval number 01148. the first two digits indicate that the approval was granted according to UN ECE Regulation No. 70 (the original version). The symbol "RF" indicates that this is a class 1 or 2 (reflective/fluorescent materials) the identification mark. 3 or 4 classes (only reflective materials) identification marking denoted by symbol "RR".
2. group. Light devices (code of 201 to 214), this group of requirements for certification of devices and light marks and lamp color does not apply to vehicles that are registered in Latvia.
201. headlamps 201.1. Permissible types of lamps: 201.1.1. asymmetrical white light emitting a European type-right movement for light (white light emitting an asymmetrical European type of movement on the left side of the lamp may be used with the appropriate label on the lens, if the vehicle is registered in Latvia at the time).
Headlamps must be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 1, 2, 5, 8, 20, 31, 37, 50, 53, 57, 72, 98, 99 (UR2.1.att.) or the EU Directive 76/761/EEC, 93/92/EEC (UR2.2.att.), or in accordance with the standards applied by the manufacturer (GOST URu.tml.) if the mark contains the lamp type according to table 2.1 shows the signs;
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 1, 2, 5, 8, 20, 31, 37, 50, 53, 57, 72, 98, 99 or the EU Directive 76/761/EEC, 93/92/EEC, except vehicles of which the conformity assessment carried out individually;
201.1.2. symmetrical white light emitting American type lamp. They must be certified and labelled according to the standards applied by the manufacturer (SAE URu.tml);

201.1.3. asymmetrical white light emitting American type of headlamp intended for the right movement. They must be certified and labelled according to the standards applied by the manufacturer (SAE URu.tml).
Approval mark key. Lamp approved in the Netherlands (E4) under the number 2439 and conform to the requirements raised by the UN ECE Regulations No. 8 to the 04 series of amendments (04) dipped and main beam (HCR), designed for movement on the right side of the roadway (a, fig. 2.1), the road's left (fig. 2.1.b), suspended by both parties (2.1. c). Figure 30 (kontrolskaitl) indicates that light is from 86250 to 111250 candelas.
Approval mark key. Lamp approved in the United Kingdom (e 11) under the number 0011471 according to the requirements of the directive and its near the distant lights (C/R), designed for movement on the right side of the roadway. They must be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 37 (UR2.3.att.) or the EU Directive 76/761/EEC (UR2.4.att.). According to the manufacturer's requirements of the standards applied by certified and labelled bulbs allowed to install only the American-type lamps.
Prohibits the use of the dipped and main beam lamps the outer casings, which transforms the white light of other colors in the light.
It shall be prohibited to use the halogen lamp and bulb lamps, arc not intended for their use.

201.4. If the vehicle is equipped with a headlamp light beam tilt manual adjustment device, which operated from the cabin of the vehicle, it must not only work on one side.
If the vehicle fitted with discharge headlamps, the headlamps must be running light beam tilt automatic adjustment device and this lamp cleaning device.
202. Dipped-beam headlamps 202.1. the type, number and position 202.1.1. Vehicles must be equipped: 202.1.1.1. Cars-with two dipped-beam headlamps in one of the following combinations: 202.1.1.1.1. the two dipped-beam headlamps [C + C];
202.1.1.1.2. the two dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR];
202.1.1.1.3. four dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR + CR + CR], if the passing beam mode operates two lower or upper and two met their installation conditions.
202.1.1.2. Motorcycles – with one or two dipped-beam headlamps in one of the following combinations: 202.1.1.2.1. dipped-beam lamp [CR];
202.1.1.2.2. the dipped-beam headlamp [C];
202.1.1.2.3. the dipped-beam headlamp and dipped-beam single light lamp [C + CR];
202.1.1.2.4. the two dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR].
202.1.2. headlamps shall be fitted in front of the vehicle symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal plane of the motorcycle or to the emitted light beam does not dazzle the same driver either directly or indirectly, reflected from the rear-view mirrors or other reflective surface of the vehicle, and that they do not restrict the driver's field of vision.
Lamp must be installed in the location specified UR2.5.att CIA. Category N3G (increased departure of) vehicles light-emitting surface of the highest point of the distance to the road surface must not be greater than 1500 mm. If required by the manufacturer, this distance may be increased to 1700 mm. lamp of the motorcycle must be placed one above the other as well as to the light-emitting surface in the Centre to the median longitudinal plane of the motorcycle. Distance between two lamps of motorcycles light-emitting surface of the nearest point in any placement must not exceed 200 mm. Light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road surface must be not less than 500 mm, the highest point of the distance of more than 1200 mm. 202.2. Switch on the dipped-beam headlamps or the ones when you automatically, by the vehicle engine, turn on all of the dipped-beam headlamps, except in the case of the 202.1.1.1.3 code. Dipped-beam headlamps must be lit with lamps, rear registration-plate lamps and end-outline marker (if installed).
202.3. European-type lamps must comply with the regulation UN ECE Regulation No. 48 or EU requirements laid down in Directive 76/756/EEC. The passing beam tilt in relation to the horizon must comply with the requirements of the manufacturer. If such data are not available, table 2.2 must meet the specified parameters.

203. Driving beam headlamps If car fitted with four headlamps, which are in the off position is partially or completely covered (moving shutter URu.tml.), may set up two additional main-beam headlamps, which are used only as light alarm (on-off) the light time of the day, to draw other road users attention according to CSN 134 points.
203.1. the type, number and position 203.1.1. Vehicles must have: 203.1.1.1. cars – two or four-beam lamp in one of the following combinations: 203.1.1.1.1. two-beam headlamps [R + R];
203.1.1.1.2. the two dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR];
203.1.1.1.3. two-beam lamp and two dipped-beam headlamps [R + R + CR + CR];
203.1.1.1.4. four dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR + CR + CR].
203.1.1.2. motorcycles – one or two-beam lamp in one of the following combinations: 203.1.1.2.1. dipped-beam lamp [CR];
203.1.1.2.2. single-beam lamp [R];
203.1.1.2.3. single-beam headlamp and the other dipped-beam lamp [R + CR];
203.1.1.2.4. the two dipped-beam headlamps [CR + CR].

203.1.2. headlamps shall be fitted in front of the vehicle symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal plane of the motorcycle or to the emitted light beam does not dazzle the same driver either directly or indirectly, reflected from the rear-view mirrors or other reflective surface of the vehicle, and that they do not restrict the driver's field of vision.
Main-beam headlamp must not be installed away from the vehicle's median longitudinal plane than the dipped-beam headlamps.
Motorcycle headlights must be placed one above the other as well as to the light-emitting surface in the Centre to the median longitudinal plane of the motorcycle. The distance between any motorcycle headlight light emitting surface closest points must not exceed 200 mm. Main-beam headlamp light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road surface must be not less than 500 mm, the highest point of the distance of more than 1300 mm. 203.2.-beam mode may be switched on at the same time all main-beam headlamps or the individually-beam lamps. But in any case-beam mode while the headlamps on the total luminous intensity shall not exceed 225000 cd or marking of lamps light strength specified in kontrolskaitļ of the sum may not exceed 75 units (kontrolskaitl in the label to the right of the lamp from the type designation "E"; UR2.1.att.).
Switch the main headlights from high beam to the dipped beam must switch off all main-beam headlamps.
-Beam headlamps may be switched on separately and burn constantly, if not turned on lamps, lighting the plate and end-outline marker (if any). This condition does not apply to the use of a beam of light alarm (on-off).
203.3. divluktur the European type of lighting system in the case of the passing beam framework also determines the orientation of the beam in space (2.6 and 2.7. b a fig.), but četrluktur the European type of lighting system in the case of the driving beam [R] or internal lamps must be set no higher than external-beam headlamps (UR2.8.att.).
American type lamps high beam framework defines the standard SAE J599. Headlamp light beam Center may not be higher than that of the light-emitting surface of the headlamp Centre (2.6 and 2.7 (b) (b)).
203.4. headlamps must be adequately fastened. The lenses must be clean, dry, colourless, without cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. nature damage. The reflecting surface must be free from defects (corrosion URu.tml.).
204. front fog lamps 204.1. Type, number, color and placement 204.1.1. Fog lamps must be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 19 or the EU Directive 76/762/EEC (UR2.9.att.), or in accordance with the standards applied by the manufacturer (GOST, SAE URu.tml.) if the mark contains the lamp, lamp type ([B] URu.tml).
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 19 or the EU Directive 76/762/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
204.1.2. Cars must be installed in the two front fog lamps, but motorcycles – one or two front fog lamps. Set fog lamps must emit the same color light – both white or two yellow.
204.1.3. Lamps installed in front of the symmetrical in relation to the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle so that the light beam of the same dazzle the driver either directly or indirectly, reflected from the rear-view mirrors or other reflective surface of the vehicle, and that they do not restrict the driver's field of vision.
Lamps shall be installed pursuant to UR2.10.att in position, and have given the light-emitting surface of the highest point of the distance to the road surface must not be higher than that of the dipped-beam headlamp light-emitting surface of the highest point.
Motorcycles-one fog lamp in the case of the light-emitting surface of the Center must coincide with the median longitudinal plane, or the distance from it to the light-emitting surface nearest point must be not more than 250 mm in the case of two lamps the distance between the light-emitting surface of the lamp, the closest points must not exceed 200 mm. 204.2. Turning fog lamps, to burn all set the front fog lamps. Fog lamps shall be switched on only when turned on lamps and rear registration plate.
204.3. Fog lamp light beam regulation should comply with UN ECE Regulation No. 48 and EU Directive 76/756/EEC. The upper horizontal border must not be higher than the same height install and properly tuned the dipped-beam headlamp light beam horizontal beam delimiting line (UR2.11.att). American-type fog lamps to must conform to standard SAE J599 requirements, and fog lamp light beam in the horizontal top border must not be higher than a properly tuned beam of light-emitting surface of the horizontal midline (UR2.11.att have the left drawing).
204.4. headlamps must be adequately fastened to the rigid part of the vehicle to the road while driving uneven causing light beam oscillations. Fog lamp lens must be clean, free of cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. nature damage. The reflecting surface must be free from defects (corrosion URu.tml.). Not allowed any liquids and the use of additional elements.
205. Lamps, end-outline marker, 205.1. Type of parking, number, color and placement 205.1.1. Lamps shall be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 7 (side-marker lamps may be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 91) or the EU Directive 76/758/EEC (UR2.12.att.), or in accordance with the standards applied by the manufacturer (GOST, SAE URu.tml.) if intended by the manufacturer;
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No 7 (side-marker lamps may be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 91) or the EU Directive 76/758/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
205.1.2. the number and color of 205.1.2.1. Cars and their trailers width greater than 1600 mm and manufactured after January 1, 1995, must have two (motorcycle-one or two) white light emitting lamps for front [A]. Yellow light-emitting front marker lamps are permitted only if the vehicle is made according to American (Canadian) national standards and provides for the installation of the lamps of the following manufacturer, and only then, if the vehicle was manufactured until January 1, 2001 and registered in Latvia until 1 July 2004.
205.1.2.2. Vehicles and their trailers must have two (motorcycles-one or two) red light-emitting in the rear lamps [R].
205.1.2.3 M3, N2, N3, O3 and O4 vehicles must be fitted with two or four of the appropriate type of additional rear lamps.
205.1.2.4. All vehicles the length of which exceeds 6 m (the trailers this length is determined together with the coupling device) and made after 1 January 1995 (except for the carriage of goods not equipped trucks-chassis), from both sides must be equipped with yellow light-emitting side lamps (rear side of the tail may emit a red light, if it is combined, grouped or reciprocally incorporated with the rear lamps, rear end-outline marker , the stop lamp, the rear fog lamp or is grouped and has a light-emitting surface in common with the rear retro-reflector) [SM1], [SM2] (or [R]).
205.1.2.5. M2, M3, N1, N2, N3, O3 and O4 category vehicles exceeding 2.10 m in width and made after 1 January 1995, must be set up in two white light radiating to the upper end-outline marker lamps [A] at the front of the vehicle and two red light-emitting in the upper end-outline marker lamps [R] at the rear of the vehicle (216).
If, in addition to the cargo tank manufacturer installed special cargo for strengthening construction that exceeds the width of the cargo tank manufacturer width must be set up in two white light emitting of end-outline marker lamps [A] design in front of the widest point, and two red light-emitting in the end-outline marker lamps [R] construction of the rear widest point.
Trucks with no cargo tanks, and other categories of vehicles referred to above the top end-outline marker lamp installation is voluntary.
Vehicles of category N2 and N3 to the roof of the cab shall be fitted to the two types of white light-emitting in the front top end-outline marker lamps. Additional end-outline marker lamps may be installed on the vehicle cargo tanks.

205.1.2.6. 205.1.3. If the motorcycle is one front and rear lamps, the light-emitting surface must coincide with the median longitudinal plane. Special commercial vehicles rear lamps allowed not subject to the above conditions relating to installation height, if intended by the manufacturer and if it relates to a special feature.
If the vehicle is equipped with the optional rear lamps may be waived, additional rear lamps installation conditions on the installation height and distance to the nearest point on the gauge side.
If the manufacturer does not intend the parking lamp installation, the function of position lamps if it can turn the car or bus each side separately.
205.1.3.2. side lamps [SM1], [SM2] (or [R]) must be installed in the location specified UR2.15.att CIA. Additional bottom rear end-outline marker lamp (b fig. 2.16.) light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road surface must not be less than 350 mm and those with a special, flexible mounting assistance can be put outside the vehicle dimensions, not more than 150 mm. for vehicles of category N2 and N3 on the cab roof mounted additional front top end-outline marker lamps should be positioned as close as possible to the side of the cab of the vehicle gauge point below (this condition is considered as fulfilled If this distance is not more than 400 mm).
205.2. Turning lamps, turn on all lamps, end-outline marker and rear registration plate. Turn on the parking lights, they should be burned one side of regardless of the other lights.

206. -If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No 4 or the EU Directive 76/760/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
206.1.2. All vehicles must be one or more of the white light-emitting rear registration plate lamps [L].
206.1.3. Number of lamps should be placed so that they effectively illuminate the rear license plate of the vehicle and not emitted white light to the rear. If the vehicle is equipped with only one plate lamp, it must be placed on a vertical plate axis of symmetry.
206.2. Plate lighting must be switched on simultaneously with all the lamps and end-outline marker.
206.3. Rear registration plate lamps should be appropriately secured. The lenses must be clean, free of cracks, damage, etc. izlūzum.
207. the direction indicator lamps, emergency alarms, turning lights, 207.1. the type number, color and placement in the direction 207.1.1 to be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 6 or EU Directive 76/759/EEC (UR2.18.att.), or the manufacturer, the appropriate standard (GOST, SAE URu.tml.);

207.1.2. the number and color of 207.1.2.1. Cars must have two front direction indicator lamps [1] [1a], [1b] and or the two rear direction indicator lamps [2a] and [2b]. Each side of the car may be equipped with one or two side direction indicator lamps [3], [4], [5] or [6].
Trailers must be two rear direction indicator lamps [2a] and [2b]. For vehicles of categories M1, M2 and N1 must be installed in the two relevant types of additional rear direction-indicator lamps.
M3, N2, N3, O3 and O4 vehicles must be fitted with two or four of the appropriate type of additional rear direction-indicator lamps.
Motorcycle front and rear two direction indicator lamps if they designate to the manufacturer.
207.1.2.2. All direction indicator lamps must emit a yellow light.
Red light-emitting rear direction-indicator lamps allowed in only if the vehicle is made according to the United States (Canada) or the national standard of GOST standards and following the installation of the lamps made for the manufacturer, and only then, if the vehicle was manufactured until January 1, 2001 and registered in Latvia until 1 July 2004.
White light emitting front direction-indicator lamps allowed in only if the vehicle is made according to GOST standards and following the installation of the lamps made for the manufacturer.
207.1.3. Position 207.1.3.1. Cars and their trailers direction indicator shall be fitted symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle, subject to the specified location in the UR2.19.att CIA.
The design characteristics of the vehicle front and rear direction-indicator lamps [1] [1a], [1b], [2a] and [2b] maximum installation height may be increased to 2100 mm. Special commercial vehicles allowed in rear direction indicator lamps, disregarding this code provisions for mounting height if intended by the manufacturer and if it relates to a special feature.
If the vehicle is equipped with the optional rear direction indicator lamps, the respect of the conditions for the installation of additional rear direction-indicator lamp installation height and distance to the nearest point on the gauge side.

The vehicle's design characteristics of side direction-indicator lamp [3], [4], [5] and [6] maximum permissible installation height may be increased to 2300 mm. side direction indicator light-emitting surface, the distance from the front of the car must not exceed 1800 mm. construction characteristics of the vehicle this distance may be increased to 2500 mm. front direction indicator 207.1.3.2. Motorcycles must be at least 240 mm distance from each other, and they must not be just below or just above the headlamps.
Rear direction indicator lamps must be at least 180 mm distance from each other and not more than 300 mm from the rear extremities.
The direction of the light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road surface must not be less than 350 mm and highest point greater than 1200 mm. 207.2. turning right or left side direction indicator lamps, while simultaneously turn on and flashes all right or left side direction indicator lamps. Direction indicator lamps operating frequency must be 60-120 light pulses per minute (1-2 Hz). Direction indicator lamps must only commence to function when the direction indicator lamp switch or emergency alarm switch.
If the vehicle is equipped with four or six rear direction indicator lamps, direction indicator lamps, switch on one side of the rear direction-indicator lamps may be switched on and off to change.
207.3. Cars made after 1 April 1986, must be equipped with emergency alarm light. Design of the emergency alarm mode at the same time synchronously to all direction indicator lamps will Flash.

208.1.2. the number and color of 208.1.2.1. Cars and their trailers must have two (motorcycles-one or two) red color emitting braking lamps [S1] or [S2]. If a truck or trailer made before January 1, 1971, allowed one of braking lamp [S1] or [S2]. If M1 category vehicle made after 1 January 2001, it must be equipped also with [S3] red stop lamp emitting light.
208.1.2.2. vehicles of category M1, made up to 1 January 2001, and of category N1 vehicles which are not equipped with the manufacturer the additional brake lamp, one authorized to be fitted with [S3] or [S1], [S2] [S3] or the red light-emitting extra braking lights.
M2, M3, N2, N3, O3 and O4 category vehicles allowed to install two or four red light emitting extra braking lamps [S1] or [S2].
208.1.3. Position 208.1.3.1. Cars and their trailers the braking lights must be mounted symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle, subject to the specified location in the UR2.21.att CIA.
The design characteristics of the vehicle brake lamps maximum installation height may be increased to 2100 mm. Special commercial vehicles allowed to place the brake lamps, not subject to the provisions of this Code concerning the installation height, if intended by the manufacturer and if it relates to a special feature.
Motorcycle brake lights should be located symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal plane (in the case of one lamp light-emitting surface of the headlamp Centre should coincide with the longitudinal plane). Lamp light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road surface must be not less than 250 mm, and the highest point of more than 1500 mm. 208.1.3.2. for vehicles of category M1 and N1 [S3] additional braking of category lamp to be installed (UR2.21.att.) to the vehicle's median longitudinal plane above the main brake lights, but not less than 850 mm from the ground. If the characteristics of the design [S3] additional braking lamps of categories may not be possible to place the symmetric, allowed to set up one such lamp not more than 150 mm to one or to the other side of the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle, or the following two headlights – as close as possible to the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle and symmetrically in relation to it. [S1] or [S2] categories additional braking lights must be installed symmetrically to the median longitudinal plane of the car, the higher the main brake lights.
M2, M3, N2, N3, O3 and O4 category vehicles [S1] or [S2] categories additional braking lights must be installed symmetrically to the median longitudinal plane of the car, not below the main brake lights.
208.2. Pressing the brake pedal, to light up: 208.2.1. mandatory for all (set by the manufacturer) brake lamps;
mandatory [S3] 208.2.2. additional braking lamp, if M1 category vehicle made after 1 January 2001;
208.2.3. additional braking lamp pairs, if installed.
Prohibited to install the brake lamps that run in a continuous mode.
208.3. The braking lights must be appropriately secured. The lenses must be free from cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. damage. Shading should not be faded.
208.4. Brake lamp light strength may not be less than 10 candelas.
209. The rear fog lamps 209.1. Type, number, color and placement 209.1.1. Rear fog lamps must be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 38 or EU Directive 77/538/EEC (UR2.22.att.), or the manufacturer, the appropriate standard (GOST, SAE URu.tml.);
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No 38 or the EU Directive 77/538/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
209.1.2. Until 1 January 2001 for vehicles manufactured to be installed and vehicles made after 1 January 2001, to set up one or two red light emitting rear fog lamps [F], subject to the specified location in the UR2.23.att CIA. Category N3G (increased departure of) vehicles light-emitting surface of the lowest point of the distance to the road must not exceed 1200 mm, 900 mm, of the motorcycle.
If a car equipped with one rear fog lamp, it must be on the left or in the Middle, where two – they must be positioned symmetrically to the median longitudinal plane.
Rear fog lamp must be at least 100 mm from the stop lamp.
209.2. Rear fog lamps shall be switched on when turn on the main headlamps or the front fog lamp. They must be possible independently of the other lamps.
209.3. Rear fog lamps must be appropriately secured. The lenses must be free from cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. damage. Shading should not be faded.
209.4. Of rear fog lamp, the luminous intensity shall be not less than 10 candelas.
210.210.1. Type reflectors number, color and placement 210.1.1. Retro-reflecting devices must be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 3 or EU Directive 76/757/EEC (UR2.24.att.), or the manufacturer, the appropriate standard (GOST, SAE URu.tml.);
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No 3 or EU Directives 76/757/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
210.1.2. the number and color of 210.1.2.1. Motor vehicles must be two (motorcycles-one or two) rear reflectors in red [IA]. They may not be triangular in shape.
It is permissible to install additional corresponding type rear baffles, if they do not reduce the mandatory on-site-reflector efficiency.
If the motor vehicle is, in accordance with the relevant UN ECE regulations or EU directives certified and labelled, tinted baffles rear lamp, products containing them must be installed two additional rear reflectors.

210.1.2.2. Motor vehicles having off headlamps are fully settled should be equipped with two front reflectors [IA] white. Other motor vehicles the installation is recommended.
It is permissible to install additional front reflector, if they do not reduce the mandatory on-site-reflector efficiency.
210.1.2.3. Trailers shall be two rear triangle-shaped reflectors in red [IIIA] and two other shapes for the front reflectors [IA] white.
It is permissible to install additional front or rear reflectors, if they do not reduce the mandatory on-site-reflector efficiency. If the rear reflectors are integrated with the other rear light devices, additional rear reflectors may not be a triangular shape.
210.1.2.4. Vehicles the length of which exceeds 6 m, and made after January 1, 1995, must have sufficient side reflectors [IA], [SM1] or [SM2] yellow. Other vehicles the installation is recommended. Rear side retro-reflector can be red if it is reciprocally incorporated with the rear, the rear end-outline marker lamps, stop lamp, the rear fog lamp or side rear marker lamps or have a common light-emitting surface.
210.1.3. Position 210.1.3.1. Cars and their trailers, front and rear reflex reflectors must be mounted symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle, subject to the specified location in the UR2.25.att CIA.
The design characteristics of the vehicle the maximum front and rear reflectors mounting height may be increased to 1500 mm. Front retro-reflecting surface of the reflector may have parts in common with any other passing beam the visible surface of the device.
Rear reflector (except the triangular) the reflective surface of the reflector may have parts in common with any other rear lights visible surface of the device.
Triangular reflectors can be combined into a single unit with any other rear light devices, however they may not be illuminated from the inside.
210.1.3.2. The motorcycle rear reflectors must be mounted symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal median plane of the vehicle. The distance from the ground to the reflecting surface of the reflex reflector lowest point must be not less than 250 mm and up to the highest of more than 900 mm. 210.1.3.3. Side retro reflector on both sides of the vehicle to be set up in the UR2.26.att have been specified. The design characteristics of the vehicle the maximum installation height may be increased to 1500 mm. From each side retro reflector must be fitted to the middle third of the vehicle. In addition, the first side retro reflector (from the front of the vehicle) must be located not further than 3 m from the front of the vehicle gauge point (trailers must take into account the length of the coupling device). The distance between the two side retro reflectors shall not exceed 3 m. If the construction characteristics of the vehicle that is not possible, the distance may be increased to 4 mm. Side retro reflector of the reflective surface of the reflector may have parts in common with any other side spaced light device.
210.2. Retro-reflecting devices must be secured appropriately. They must be free from splits, overlays, izlūzum in URu.tml. damage. Shading should not be faded.
211. reversing lamps 211.1. the type, number, color and placement 211.1.1. Reversing lamps shall be certified and labelled:-If a vehicle made to 2000 December 31, according to the UN-ECE Regulation No 23 or EU Directive 77/539/EEC (UR2.27.att.), or in accordance with the standards applied by the manufacturer (GOST, SAE URu.tml.);
-If a vehicle manufactured after January 1, 2001, according to the UN ECE Regulation No 23 or the EU Directive 77/539/EEC, except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
211.1.2. Vehicles manufactured after January 1, 1982, must be fitted with one or two reversing lamps [with] that on the backend to emit white light. O3, O4 category vehicles first registered after 1 May 2004, shall be fitted with two or four reversing lamps [with].
Until 1 May 2004 for the first time registered in the N2, N3, M2, M3, O2, O3, and O4 category vehicles in addition to reversing lamps allowed also set up one or two of the reversing lamp function in MS, white light emitting of front fog lamps that are certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 19 and the EU Directive 76/762/EEC.
211.1.3. If the vehicle has two reversing lamps must be mounted symmetrically in relation to the back of the garenplakn and UR2.28.att have been specified in the notice. One of reversing lamps shall be subject to the installation height.
211.1.4. additional reversing lamps set up must be set so that they emitted light back no further than 15 m from the vehicle.
211.2. The on-line conditions 211.2.1. Every reversing lamp shall be switched on with the switch on the reverse, and the device that provides the engine or turn off it while you are in such a position that operation of the engine is possible. Lamps may not be turned on or off, if they have not met any of the above conditions to start the lamp.
211.2.2. If the installation of reversing lamps is not provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle and could not execute 211.2.1 code requirements by turning on lamps, reversing the car's cabin to turn on lights or sound a warning signal, which is easily notable.
211.2.3. If the rear of the vehicle mounted reversing lamps function missing front fog lamps, they must be switched on and off with the switch, the individual subject to the code of 211.2.1.
211.3. The reversing lamps shall be adequately secured. The lenses must be free from cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. damage.
212. Daytime running lamps 212.1. Type, number, color and placement 212.1.1. Daytime running lamps must be certified and labelled according to the UNECE Regulation No 87 of the EU Directive 76/758/EEC (UR2.29.att.), except in the case of conformity assessment of vehicle individually.
212.1.2. Cars allowed to mount two days running [RL] headlamps emitting white light.
212.1.3. headlamps shall be fitted symmetrically to the median longitudinal plane of the car, taking pictures in specified UR2.30.att.
212.2. Lamps may burn alone and those off, turn on the main headlamps, unless the headlamps are used as light alarm (on-off) to the attention of other road users.
212.3. Daytime running lamps of the total luminous intensity shall not exceed 800 candelas.
212.4. headlamps must be fastened to the rigid part of the vehicle to the road while driving uneven causing light beam oscillations. Optical element headlamp must be clean, dry, colorless. Not allowed any liquid coating, light filter or an additional element. The lenses must be free from cracks, izlūzum in URu.tml. damage.
213. additional light device Type and number 213.1.213.1.1. N2, N3, O3 and O4 category vehicles permitted to install one or two grozāmo lamps ("work lamp") to be used in the work process for the dark time of the day or insufficient visibility.

213.1.5. Buses that take the carriage of passengers, may be fitted with illuminated route signs (signs).
213.1.6. The vehicle shall be fitted with headlamps prohibited, lamps and other light devices (for example, land vehicle or around national registration number plate, etc.) that the installation is not intended by these regulations.
213.2. additional light devices, except for the 213.1.3 code, must be referred to the separate switch switched on only when the lamps are turned on and the plate lighting.

214. Lamp coatings 214.1. light-emitting surface of the lamp must not be damp to the extent that the lamp intensity is less than the allowable rear lamps that certain 205.4 code and stop lamps – 208.4 code.

214.2. Rear lamps or decorative lining the block or any other materials that limit the light-emitting surface area may not be reduced more than 20%, with the light-emitting surface of the lamp is permissible only by reduction or the light-emitting surface of the block's perimeter.

7. Feeding system, electrical equipment (codes from 701 to 706) power system, construction Type 701. In accordance with the requirements of the law on the modification of vehicles, the vehicle allowed emissions of diesel engines installed instead (and vice versa), as well as to set up equipment for the operation of the engine with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or compressed natural gas (LNG). 702. The fuel tank, the gas cylinder 702.1. The vehicle must be equipped with a manufacturer for the fuel tank. Additional fuel tank installation shall be carried out in accordance with a conversion vehicle regulatory requirements of the legislation. These changes must be specified in the certificate of registration of the vehicle.
702.2. If the gas power plant installed by March 18, 2002, the gas cylinder must be conspicuously, legibly and indelibly marked: 702.2.1. SNG – serial number, volume (in litres), marking "LPG", the test pressure (bars), the words "maximum filling 80%" (the maximum degree of filling 80%) and for "pump inside" ("Pump inside") with pump-identifying mark, if it is located inside the gas cylinder;
702.2.2. LNG – serial number, volume (in litres), the legend of "the only LNG" ("CNG ONLY") with at least 25 mm high letters and "do not use after XX/XXXX" – month/year – ("DO NOT use AFTER XX/XXXX") with at least 25 mm high letters, operating pressure/test pressure (MPA) and weight (in kilograms).
702.3. Gas cylinder should be plate (label), where the inspection body, its address, and the date of the last inspection.
702.4. vehicle mounted to the gas cylinder must not be less than 200 mm above the road, if it does not have adequate safeguards in the front and the side, but it may not reduce the departure.
702.5. If the gas cylinder is located on the outside of the vehicle directly in the rocks area of the wheels, it must be protected with a metallic shield against possible wheel of stone impacts. Installing the gas cylinder on the roof, it must be special, the roof permanently attached partition.
702.6. Fuel tank (gas cylinder) must not be damaged, deformed, korodējus. The gas cylinder must not be remontmetinājum. Fuel tank (gas cylinder) must be appropriately secured. Fastening elements must not be deformed, corroded, loosely. A fuel spill is not allowed.
The gas cylinder must not come into contact with other metallic parts of the vehicle, except the fastening elements.
703. Pipelines, hoses, other components of 703.1. Forbidden gas power plant to use hoses that are not intended for this purpose. The pipelines and hoses must be free from damage, according to fixed and secured against deterioration of friction, vibration, and voltage. It is not permissible to fuel leakage from pipelines, hoses, other power system components and their connections.
703.2. LPG pipelines must be seamless-can (with a rubber or plastic protective cover) or stainless steel or steel with anticorrosion coating. The gas pipeline outer diameter must not exceed 12 mm.
703.3. Gas installation pipework and hoses and bulkhead penetrations must be fitted with protective material. The pipelines and hoses must not be jacking points.
LNG facility at the points of attachment of the pipe must not be exposed to metallic parts, and LNG pipelines located in the passenger compartment or enclosed (including luggage) compartment, must be in the gāznecaurlaidīg housing.
Fuel system assemblies (high pressure pump, carburetor, fuel-injection system URu.tml.) and the components (pipelines, hoses, filters, URu.tml.) must be free from defects and properly fastened.
703.4. Fuel supply system devices and Assembly (pump, carburetor, fuel injection system, filters, valves, URu.tml reducer) must be appropriately secured.
703.5. If the gas cylinder is located in the passenger compartment or an enclosed (luggage) compartment, gas filling device must be located on the outside of the vehicle and be secured against rotation, as well as against dirt and water. LNG filling device may be located in the engine room.
703.6. If the gas cylinder is located inside the vehicle, all devices must be attached to the shell, which surrounds the gāznecaurlaidīg must be connected to the atmosphere.
Where the ventilation channel exit from the vehicle body, it must be directed towards the bottom, but not on a heat source, and outputs the location may not be in the wheel arch. The output port diameter must not be less than 24 mm.
If the gas cylinder is located on the outside of the vehicle, gāznecaurlaidīg shell may not be if the balloon equipment adequately protected against dirt and water.
Gāznecaurlaidīg shell must not be corrupted, distorted.
703.7. It is not permissible to machine components soldered and pipeline or hose connections of the perishable materials. SNG installations are not permitted in the welded connections.
Pipes and their fittings must be compatible with regard to corrosion. Stainless steel piping can be connected only with stainless steel fittings.
All connections must be easily accessible.

805. Positive ignition engine exhaust gas characteristics if the vehicle is equipped with a gas power plant, waste gas monitoring should be carried out, the engine running on gas.
805.1. Idling mode CO content in the exhaust gas of a positive-ignition engine must not exceed the limits given in table 8.1.
8.1. The permissible CO limit value table in the idling mode 805.2. CO. control of the vehicles made after 1 January 2001, λ must be within ± 0.03 from the value specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
805.3. Vehicles built in 2000 to December 31, idling mode CH concentration in the waste gas of spark-ignition engine must not exceed 1200 ppm, if the cylinder number is not greater than 4, 3000 ppm, and if the number of the cylinder is greater than 4. Vehicles built, starting with January 1, 2001, the idle mode CH concentration in the waste gas of spark-ignition engine must not exceed 100 ppm. 9. the group. Bus equipment (codes from 901 to 907) according to the United Nations ECE Regulation No 53 conditions of M2 and M3 small trainsets single deck buses, of which the total number of passengers not exceeding 22, are divided into two classes:-class A-bus with seating, which may be intended for standing passengers;

According to UN-ECE Regulation No 38 conditions of large single deck buses, trainsets with a total number of more than 22 passengers, are divided into three classes:-class I-city buses, which designed sites standing passengers;
-Class II-Intercity buses, made mainly for the carriage of passengers and ride design allows you to carry standing passengers in the gangway or parking area for up to two dubultsēdekļ in the area;
– Class III – tourist buses, made only the seated passengers.

If the bus in/out fitted with a special device access of disabled persons to or from the bus from its relief, it must be in working order and must not impede the movement of other passengers.

1206.1.4. the transport unit with a full mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes, shall be equipped with one or more of the standard in portable EN 3 dry powder (or an equivalent capacity for other suitable control substances) burning class (A), (B) and (C) the fire-extinguishing apparatus, with a minimum total capacity of 4 kg.
