Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 672 in Riga on august 3, 2004 (Mon. No 46 41) amendment of the Cabinet of Ministers of 20 March 2001 No. 127 "in the terms of the gymnasium and the national grammar school status and cancellation procedures and criteria", Issued in accordance with the General Education Act, article 4, paragraph 5, to make the Cabinet of Ministers of 20 March 2001 No. 127 "in the terms of the gymnasium and the national grammar school status and cancellation procedures and criteria" (Latvian journal, 2001, no. 48) and to supplement the provisions of the amendment to paragraph 5.1 by the following : "5.1 to promote Latvian language – the language of the country, the consolidation of the status of individual administrative areas, the Cabinet may be granted the status of a State grammar school education institution located in this territory, if the high school 10, 11 and 12 class learns not less than 200 persons (Republic city) or not less than 150 trainees (in another administrative territory) and if it conforms to this rule 5.1, 5.3 and 5.4. criteria referred to in point."
