Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 880 of 2004 in Riga on October 19 (Mon. No 60 77) National Agency "Latvian Institute", in accordance with the regulations issued by the public agency law 8 the third paragraph of article i. General questions 1. Public Agency "Latvian Institute" (further – the Agency) under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an existing national institution. 2. the objective of the Agency is a positive international recognition. II. Agency functions, tasks and rights 3. the Agency shall perform the following functions: coordinates the Latvian 3.1 image building strategy and monitor its implementation;

5.4. to take loans and to assume a guarantee in the law on budget and financial management. III. Agency governance 6. The Agency shall be managed by the Director of the Agency. The Agency's Director shall make public administration facilities statutory functions. 7. Agency Advisory Board 9. in order to ensure the link with the society of Latvia, Minister of Foreign Affairs establishes the Agency's Advisory Board (hereinafter the Board). Advisory Board provides recommendations to Latvia's positive international recognition. 10. the Advisory Council shall operate in accordance with the regulations approved by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. 11. the task of the Advisory Forum is to analyze the results of the activities of the Agency and to provide the Agency and the Minister of Foreign Affairs proposals on the Agency's medium-term development strategy and business development. 12. numerical composition of the Board and Advisory Council personnel approved by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. 13. the meetings of the Board shall be entitled to participate in the agency or its authorized representative. 14. the work of the Council to ensure the Agency's facilities. V. Financing of the Agency 15. The Agency's financial resources shall consist of: 15.1 the General State grant from the general revenue;
15.2. revenue for paid services rendered by the Agency;
15.3. donations and gifts;
15.4. other own revenue (projects and programmes associated with State and local authorities, natural and legal persons funds);
15.5. foreign financial assistance. 16. the Agency's accounts at the end of the year the balance of funds resulting from any revenue of the Agency (other than the General State grant from the general revenue), which are not provided for in the Agency's long-term projects, and not exceeding a year actually get the resources remain on the Agency, and spent the next year.
