Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No 1049 Riga 2004 December 21 (Mon. No 74 26) fisheries and aquaculture market intervention measures, administration and monitoring procedures issued under the agricultural and rural development Act article 6, second part 1. determines the order in which are administered and monitored in the fisheries and aquaculture products market intervention measures.

8. when fishing or aquaculture products the producer group moves the fishing or aquaculture products from the market for further processing and storage of the market before the offer, field support service officer in cooperation with the food and veterinary service officer (Inspector) take control, 7 of these rules in the Act, in addition to: 8.1 the Merchant (also a farmer or a fisherman holding) the name, registration number and registered office who will process and store fishing or aquaculture products;
8.2. fishing or aquaculture product processing techniques;
8.3. the fishery or aquaculture products.

12. Three days before re-entering the fishery or aquaculture products being placed on the market recognized fishing or aquaculture products, the producer group shall notify the rural support service date when will stop fishing or aquaculture products.
13. The food and veterinary service of the fishing and aquaculture products during processing or when they are placed in storage, in accordance with the provisions of point 7 and 8 check fishing and aquaculture product freshness and size category of the merchant companies (fishermen and farms), which processed and stored in the fisheries and aquaculture products. If necessary, the food and veterinary service at the invitation of rural support service participates in the rural support service in unplanned inspections do fishing and aquaculture products processing and storage.
14. The food and veterinary service shall make a written report on the checks carried out in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 13. The report indicates the date of the inspection, testing, check the length of time the action taken and the results of the inspection. The report shall be signed by the food and veterinary service officer. The food and veterinary service about the results of the checks carried out in writing notify the field support service.
15. Regulations shall enter into force by 1 January 2005.
