Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 85, Riga, 1 February 2005 (pr. 7. § 29) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers on 9 June 1998 the Regulation No 217 "minimum safety requirements on the materials and articles in contact with food" Issued under the food surveillance article 10 of the law to make the Cabinet June 9, 1998 regulations No. 217 "minimum safety requirements on the materials and articles in contact with food" (Latvian journal, 1998, 174./175.nr.; 2003; 2004, nr. 14. 68. No.) the following amendments: 1. the title of chapter IX be expressed as follows: "IX. Closing questions".
2. Supplement with 43 and 44, the following wording: "43. paragraph 40, this provision does not apply to materials and articles in contact with food, if they have already been in contact with food before 1 March 2003, and if the packing date is indicated on the labelling.
44. This provision is in force paragraph 24.9 until 31 December 2005. "
3. Deletion of informative references to the directives of the European Union 9 and 10 points below the words "(text with EEA relevance)".
4. Add to the informative reference to European Union directive to point 11 and 12 as follows: ' 11) Commission of 29 July 1997 Directive 97/48/EC amending Council Directive 82/711/EEC laying down the basic rules necessary for testing migration of constituents of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs;
12) Commission of 29 January 2004, Directive 2004/13/EC, amending Directive 2002/16/EC on the use of certain epoxy derivatives in materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. "
