No 32) rules on breast milk substitutes in the composition of the minimum safety requirements, labelling and advertising requirements, as well as the procedure for the evaluation of advertising Issued under the food surveillance law article 4, the second, third and part of the 10.1 article 20, first paragraph, point 9 and the second subparagraph of article 20 and article 7 of the law on Advertising, the second part i. General questions 1. certain group of customers — infants (children under 12 months of age), the mother's milk and the composition of the minimum safety requirements , their label and advertising claims, as well as the evaluation of advertising and the amount of advertising. 2. Mother's milk substitutes their specific composition or the special manufacturing process, are clearly distinguishable from other kinds of food and is suitable for a baby feeding, if they cannot be fed with breast milk. Distribution of mother's milk substitutes, indicate the suitability for the respective group of consumers. 3. in accordance with the objective of using breast milk substitutes are divided into the following groups: 3.1 mixes, which fully satisfies the first four to six months of age, the nutritional requirements of infants;
3.2. mixtures for infants from the age of four months and form the main part of the liquid, this age infants. 4. Export of mother's milk substitutes shall comply with the requirements laid down in these provisions a substitute for breast milk composition and labelling. Mother's milk substitute mark may, in addition to other laws and regulations on food labelling prescribed information: 19.1. energy product kilojoules (kJ) and kilocalories (kcal), protein, carbohydrates and fat (expressed in figures) 100 ml of the product ready for use;
19.2. each of these rules in annex 1 or 2 that the vitamin and the average quantity of each mineral substance (expressed in figures), as well as (if they are added), choline, inositol, carnitine and taurine quantity (expressed in figures) 100 ml of the product ready for use;
19.3. the preparation of the instruction manual of the product and a warning about the health hazard, if it's prepared incorrectly. 20. Mother's milk substitutes on the labelling of the information provided on the use of the product may not be the recommendation to abandon power with mother's milk. The labelling shall be prohibited to use words such as "will", "maternalizēt incident Humanized," "emulated" breast milk, as well as other words that shall be treated as a substitute for breast milk breast milk. The provisions referred to in point 3.1., the labelling of mixtures must not contain images of children or any other images or text which may idealize the use of the product. The label may include graphical images, to facilitate identification of the product and illustrates its preparation. 23. The rules referred to in point 3.1., the labelling of mixtures may include notification of its particular composition in accordance with the provisions of annex 7. 24. The provisions referred to in point 3.2. labelling of compound indicates that the product is suitable only for such infants, who are older than four months, and that this product is only part of the baby's diet. IV. Requirements for mother's milk substitute advertising 25. Producers and distributors to ensure that the provisions referred to in point 3.1. of the mix of advertising contains information in accordance with this provision, paragraph 30, while providing guidance about the use of compound social and financial consequences for infant health risk due to inappropriate food or incorrectly feeding methods (not suitable for the use of the mixture also), that these mixtures are intended only for infants, which mixes required, and only for so long as necessary.
