Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No 772 of 2005 in Riga on October 18 (Mon. No 60 § 1) rules on biofuel quality requirements, conformity assessment, market surveillance and consumer information order Issued in accordance with article 6 of the law on Biofuels of the second part of article 7 and the second paragraph of the law "on conformity assessment" article 7 i. General questions 1. determines: 1.1. biofuel quality requirements;
1.2. the procedures for the conformity assessment of biofuels processing and transmission;
1.3. procedures for controlled production and mixing of biofuels with fossil fuels;
1.4. the order in which destroyed the inadequate quality of biofuels;
1.5. the order in which consumers are informed about the existing biofuels market composition and compliance with quality requirements.
2. Latvia shall realize the following internal combustion engines used biofuel and biofuel mix with fossil fuels that comply with this provision the requirements laid down in chapter II: 2.1 biodiesel;

II. Quality requirements of biofuels and its mix with fossil fuels and the conformity assessment procedures 3. 7.
