Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 110 in Riga in 2006 (7 February. 23. § 7) veterinary requirements for the movement of animals of the species of ungulates which are imported or in transit through Latvia led from third countries Issued in accordance with article 25 of the law on veterinary medicine (1) of rule 1 determine health requirements in these rules referred to in annex 1 of species of ungulates (ungulates) import and transit through Latvia from countries which are not Member States of the European Union (hereinafter third country).
2. Latvia, may be imported into and transit through the territory of Latvia ungulates from third countries or parts of third countries from which the animals allowed to export to the European Union.
3. in Latvia the ungulates may be imported from a third country or part of a third country which has been free of the rules referred to in annex 2 of the diseases and prohibit on their territory animals vaccinated against them.
4. before the arrival of the ungulates in Latvia the following requirements are met: 4.1 ungulates seen official veterinarian (third-country competent authorities (the body which carries out state veterinary supervision and control, or any authority to which it has delegated to perform these functions) the official veterinarian, who shall investigate the animals and fill out a veterinary health certificate), and he determined to be healthy;
4.2. transport according to ungulates in the laws on animal moved requirements of the dāšan;
4.3. for ungulates before leaving the country of departure issued completed the veterinary health certificate attesting compliance with these conditions of animals. Veterinary health certificate original led, together with the shipment of ungulates;
4.4 recognized Latvian border inspection post for veterinary control made ungulates in accordance with the legislation on veterinary checks procedures in Latvia imported animals from third countries.
5. the animal health certificate shall meet the following requirements: 5.1 it is signed and issued by the official veterinarian, and the information provided confirmed with an official stamp. If the veterinary health certificate consists of several pages, this requirement applies to each of them;
5.2. it developed and completed in accordance with the laws and regulations on animal and food of animal origin products and procedures issued by the veterinary health certificates;
5.3. it is single or multiple sheets, click each page number in the page number and the total veterinary health certificate number.

Foot-and-mouth disease in the last 12 months of the outbreak of the disease have been detected, not suspected of causing the virus to klātbūtni1, and the animals have not been vaccinated all species 2.
