Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 452 Riga, June 6, 2006 (pr. 31 § 3) computer games distribution rules Issued under the Child Protection Act, article 50 and the ninth part of the advertising law, article 7 of the second part i. General questions 1. determines the procedure of distribution of computer games.

4.3. simulation game (a game in which the user of a computer simulating a technical means (such as cars, aircraft) driving);
4.4. the strategy of the game (the game, which develops computer user strategic thinking);
4.5 sports game (any sports games simulation);
4.6. the adventure game (a game in which the characters move according to the scenario of the game and using different products and communicating with other characters, solve logical tasks);
4.7. Board game (no table games simulation).
5. Depending on the age limit for computer games (annex 1) computer games classified in the following age groups: 5.1.  3 +;
5.2.7 +;
5.3.12 +;
5.4.16 +;
5.5.18 +.
6. 25.3. the recipient does not have the opportunity to opt out of future mailings;
25.4. before that the recipient is not notified of computer games content and age limits for the computer game users.
 
VII. Closing questions 26. Computer games according to the requirements of this regulation are to be classified and labelled, starting with January 1, 2007.
