Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 719 Riga, 29 august 2006 (pr. No 44 43) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 4 March 2003, the Regulation No 102 "rules on the welfare of laying hens and the farming business registration order" Issued under the Animal protection law article 10 (1) of the regulation and monitoring of food law article 5, fourth paragraph do cabinet 4 March 2003 regulations No 102 "rules on the welfare of laying hens and the farming business registration procedures" (Latvian journal , 2003, nr. 38; 2004, 101 no) the following amendments: 1. Express the point 1 and 2 by the following: "1. the provisions determined by the welfare of laying hens (: hens of the species Gallus gallus which have reached laying age and from which eggs are produced for human consumption and are not intended for hatching) for keeping and farming companies, individual business, farm or individual merchants (hereinafter-the company) registration procedures. 2. the rules apply to companies with more than 50 layers. To establishments keeping laying hens, 51-350 does not apply this provision in point 22 of chapter IV (except 29, 31 and 36), in chapters V and VI. " 2. Delete paragraph 4, the words "which are kept laying hens". 3. Make paragraph 9 by the following: "9. it shall be prohibited to modify the appearance of laying hens, except after the housing conditions of the adjustment in accordance with paragraph 11 of these rules does not observe the improvements in behaviour of laying hens. Caged height above the nest is not less than 20 cm and not one caged area is less than 2000 cm2." 17. Express 30.6 point as follows: "the company food and veterinary 30.6 Service shall provide the following information: 49.21. name and address of the establishment; 49.22. business owner and holder (if it is not the owner) name, surname and address; 49.23. registration number of other enterprises that fall under the scope of these provisions and which belong to the company or the owner or holder that he directs; 49.24. farming; the existing 49.25. number of laying hens and the number of laying hens, which can hold a maximum establishment; 49.26. If your company uses various types of farming, in addition to holding each type indicates the number of laying hens, which can hold a maximum company. " 18. To supplement the provisions of this paragraph in 49.64: "49.64. additional sign that identifies one individual in the home of the herd." 19. To supplement the provisions of the following paragraph 31.0: "31.0 companies are laying hens from 51 up to 350, the food and veterinary service, without evaluating their recorded compliance with these provisions in chapter IV, V and VI." 20. Add to 51 after the word "density" with the words "holding on deep litter". 21. Delete paragraph 54.
