Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 475 in Riga on July 3, 2007 (pr. No 38 30) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 20 September 2005, the Regulation No 725 "rules on minimum safety and labelling requirements for dietary supplements and dietary supplements registration order" Issued under the food surveillance law article 4 of part two and 10.1 article 13, third paragraph and second paragraph of article 20 and the law on budget and financial management of the ninth paragraph of article 5 to make the Cabinet of 20 September 2005, the Regulation No 725 "rules on minimum safety and labelling requirements for dietary supplements and dietary supplements registration order "(Latvian journal, 2005, 152.210. no) the following amendments: 1. Make paragraph 6 by the following:" 6. European economic area countries, produced or placed on the market for established dietary supplements and is authorised to be placed on the market in Latvia, before notifying the food and veterinary service. According to this provision the applicant annex 2 shall be submitted a written statement, as well as the labelling of food supplements. It shall also be sent electronically to the food and veterinary service official e-mail address. If nutritional supplements produced in third countries, the communication indicates the countries of the European Union, which it marketed as a food supplement in Latvia prior to import. " 2. Delete paragraph 7. 3. Make paragraph 8 by the following: ' 8. Dietary supplements manufactured in third countries and so far not placed on the market in the European economic area countries authorised to import and distribute in Latvia if they comply with the European Union and the Latvian legislation on food, including food supplements, and if they are registered by the food and veterinary service. " 4. To make the first sentence of paragraph 9 the following: "9. in the submission of documents for the third countries imports of food supplements produced in the European Union, which in addition to the provisions referred to in annex I the vitamins and minerals also contains other substances and compounds, and for product documentation (technical regulations manufacturer's certificate, oriģinālmarķējum, instructions, certificates or for distributing the product in Latvia submitted the sample label) contains the information that the product could be drugs, the food and veterinary service requires a national medicines Agency (if it is not submitted to the food and veterinary service). The register shall be published in the food and veterinary service website on the internet. The register shall contain the following information: ". 6. Delete paragraph 12. 7. Make the following paragraph 13: "13. If the change in registered or in dietary supplements marketed label, producer, production, or terms of use, the applicant within 30 days, inform in writing the food and veterinary service. " 8.
