Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 502, Riga, July 17 2007 (pr. 23. 36. 72. If the official label ordered and delivered before the packer of seed seed packing and seed removal, the inspector shall ensure the use of official labels, checking the packaging size and number of roots. If the Inspector finds that: 72.1. seed lots stored in packaging units, less than the ordered official labels, the inspector shall ensure the destruction of unused labels and make up for it;
72.2. where seed lots stored in labelled, is more than the ordered packaging units, the official label, Inspector seed does not remove until you have separated the extra packaging units.
73. If the seed lot is labelled with the seed package labels, but having quality certification after the certificate had expired or extending the period of validity of the certificate, it is found that seed lot quality does not meet the requirements of this regulation, the Inspector: 73.1. immediately notify the owner of the seed lot and check the movement of the seed lot;
73.2. ensure the destruction of the labels used and makes up for it.
74. If the lots of seed labelled repackaged different packaging units or carry out chemical treatments the seed lot, the Inspector provides a labelled party labels and make up for it.
75. the seeds which are not fully certified, but harvested: 75.1. in another country and meet the requirements of the law of Seed, can fully certified in Latvia. Seeds are packaged and labelled in accordance with the law of the movement of the seed and the provisions of Chapter VI, and to the requirements of this chapter. 75.2. in Latvia and is intended for certification in another State, wrapped in national plant protection services. X. Sēklaudzētāj, seed producer, packer and wholesalers registered 96. State plant protection service registers seed establishments, sēklaudzētāj, Packer, importers and traders as well as sēklaudzētāj and seed dealer shall issue the certificate of registration.
97. 99. the national plant protection services: 99.1.  within 10 working days of registration of the application and assess the documents annexed thereto and shall take a decision on the person's registration in the register;
99.2. following the adoption of the decision within five working days, inform the person of the decision taken and issued by Sēklaudzētāj and seed merchants register a certificate of registration in accordance with the provisions of Annex 17, if the decision is positive;

If the follow-up found that some batches of seeds does not match the identity of the variety or varietal purity requirements, State plant protection service shall decide on the further propagation of the seed lot. The decision taken by the national plant protection services in sēklaudzētāj, the preparer of the seed, packer or retailer shall notify within seven working days.
