Transfer of the Latvian air traffic and Civil Aviation Agency's functions and resources to the armed forces, air transport and Civil Aviation Agency enters the operational management of the armed forces, that is, the armed forces have the right to give tasks in the airspace of the Republic of Latvia and the use of the air traffic organization within the functions of the Latvian air traffic and Civil Aviation Agency, in order to prevent or overcome threats to the country, as well as eliminate its consequences. The tasks of the Latvian air transport and Civil Aviation Agency provides independent, with its own resources. 3. Cabinet of Ministers decision on air traffic and Civil Aviation Agency's functions and resources to the armed forces provide armed services Executive, empowered to manage and control the Latvian air traffic and Civil Aviation Agency that the meaning of paragraph 2. 4. Country risk (situation), the intensity and nature of the armed forces officer is entitled to ask the Civil Aviation Agency and the Latvian air traffic, taking into account their competence, at least one of the following tasks: 4.1 to provide air space of the Republic of Latvia to use priority for military purposes;
4.2. change the Latvian airspace structure elements;
4.3. otherwise change the Latvian air space;
4.4. to introduce additional requirements for aviation security. 5. Armed forces officer in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers decision on air traffic and Civil Aviation Agency's functions and resources to the armed forces shall inform the Civil Aviation Agency and air traffic in Latvia on the date and time when the authorities come into operational management of the armed forces, as well as the date and time when the armed forces operational command terminated.
