Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 704 in Riga in 2007 (on 16 October. No 58 20) amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of 26 June 2007 No. 433 terms of "national agencies" public health agency "regulations" Issued in accordance with the law of public agencies in article 8 the third paragraph 1. make Cabinet 26 June 2007 No. 433 of rules "State Agency" public health agency "Statute" (Latvian journal, 2007, 103 no) the following amendments: 1. provisions supplementing with 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13. subparagraph by the following : "to support the 3.9 health promotion to the Ministry of public health policy, health promotion program to participate in the development and implementation of a methodical drive to national and regional level;
3.10. a systematic study and evaluate the population habits that affect their health;
3.11. to educate various groups in society about the factors that affect health and healthy lifestyles;
3.12. prepare information and develop recommendations for national and municipal institutions, non-governmental organizations, other legal and natural persons in matters related to the promotion of health;
3.13. create and maintain a database of information about health promotion training programmes, health education opportunities and resources. ";
1.2. make 4.2 subparagraph by the following: ' 4.2. perform, propose, organise and coordinate research on public health and health promotion issues; "
1.3. to supplement the rules with 4.19 4.20 4.21, 4.22, 4.23,,, 4.24 and 4.25. subparagraph by the following: "4.19. organise and coordinate measures for reproductive health, healthy diet and breastfeeding promotion, as well as in the field of psychoactive substance use, gambling addiction and tobacco use reduction;
4.20. to participate in the policy planning documents and legislation to develop projects in the field of health promotion, as well as to coordinate policy implementation planning document in the field of health promotion in national and local government level;
4.21. develop health promotion programmes and measures for the evaluation of indicators;
4.22. the survey on health promotion issues;
4.23. the issue with health promotion and disease prevention related printed matter;
4.24. in accordance with the competence to organise conferences, seminars, exhibitions, sports and other activities;
4.25. make different professional groups (for example, health workers, teachers, journalists) in-service training in the field of health promotion. "
