Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 206 in Riga in 2008 (25 March. 3.10. rack and pinion type elevators;

1.5. make the following point 12: ' 12. Elevator, lift and elevator components of security compliance of the installation shall be assessed: 12.1. Latvian National Accreditation Bureau (hereinafter accreditation) accredited institutions, for which the accreditation of the Ministry of economy has published a notice in the newspaper "journal" which is accredited according to the following standards (notified body): 12.1.1. Lvs EN 45011:2004 "General requirements for bodies dealing with product certification systems" to carry out the EC type-examination of lifts according to the requirements of module B;
12.1.2. Lvs EN ISO/IEC 17020:2005 "the main criteria for the various types of bodies performing inspection" to perform the lift conformity declaration EC type according to the requirements of module C;
12.1.3 LVS EN ISO/IEC 17021: conformity assessment 2007 ". Requirements for bodies providing audit and management system certification ", to perform the installation of the lift quality assurance assessment according to the requirements of module D and lift to the assessment of the quality system according to the requirements of module E;
12.1.4. EN EN 45011:2004 "General requirements for bodies dealing with product certification systems" to make a copy of the verification of the lift in accordance to the requirements of module G;
12.1.5. Lvs EN ISO/IEC 17021: conformity assessment 2007 ". Requirements for bodies providing audit and management system certification ", to make a general lift in the assessment of the quality system according to the requirements of module H;
12.2. other Member States of the European Union or the European economic area, notified body for which the Economy Ministry published a notice in the newspaper "Latvian journal". ";
1.6. to make 16 and 17 points by the following: ' 16. Each transporter shall be fitted with a cab. The elevator car to be designed and constructed according to the maximum expected number of people move and lift the nominal load capacity, which is determined by the installer of the lift.

2) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on the directive 2006/42/EC on machinery and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast) ".
