The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: For City Council, District Council and Parish Council status i. General provisions article 1. The purpose of the law this law is governed by the City Council, District Council and Parish Council [hereinafter Council (the Council)], the rights and obligations of members (powers), as well as guarantees that ensure the realization of these powers.
2. article. The term of Office of the members of parliamentary powers begins with the newly elected City Council (Council) first session of the day, or the moment when the City Council, District Council and Parish Council electoral law in accordance with the procedure laid down in article 43 of the previous Member's place into the next candidate from the list.

6. article.
