The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on the public prosecutor's Office to make the prosecution Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1994, no. 12; 1996, nr. 5, 13., 9., 1998; 23. nr.) the following amendments: 1. Express article 36 as follows: "article 36. Attorney General candidate for Attorney General, may appoint a person who: 1) not less than three years has worked as a judge in the Constitutional Court;
2) after 1 January 1993, of not less than three years has worked as a judge of the Supreme Court and have the qualification category;
3) not less than three years has worked as a District Court judge and have the qualification category;
4) after 26 September 1990, no less than five years has worked as a public prosecutor of the public prosecutor's Office. "
2. Supplement article 40, second subparagraph, point 5 and 6 with the following: "(5)) on the work of deliberate non-compliance;
6) code of ethics for prosecutors in the case of violation of the rules. "
3. Replace article 48, second paragraph, the words "the relevant prosecution authorities leader" with the words "Attorney General prosecuting authorities concerned by the recommendation of the heads".
The Saeima adopted the law on June 8, 2000.
