The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on veterinary medicine chapter I General provisions article 1. The law is applied in the following terms: 1) animal infectious diseases — diseases agents (bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, microscopic, prions, ectoparasites, treated) or different factors directly affect can be transmitted from one animal to another animal or human;
2) products of animal origin intended for human consumption — in foodstuffs of animal origin limit (kautprodukt, milk, eggs, aquaculture and fishing products, honey) and edible products of animal origin (meat, milk, eggs, fish and bee products), as well as technical of animal origin raw materials (leather, wool, hair, bristles, feathers, down, bones, horns, hooves, etc.);
3) an epizootic disease-infectious animal disease, characterised by the presence of animal mass and spread rapidly and causing huge socio-economic losses, limited international trade in animals and animal products;
4) practicing veterinarian-veterinarian who become entitled to practise veterinary practice and dealing with it;
5) state veterinary supervision objects, animal housing, farms, aquaculture animals animal artificial insemination and other reproduction companies (companies), veterinary care, animal shelters and hotels, industrially-produced feed and feed additives, veterinary medicines and veterinārfarmaceitisk products, animal care products manufacturing and distribution company (the company) and the company (the company) involved in the movement of animal products (extraction, processing, storage, transportation, realization of markets), as well as special features of animal transport;
6) veterinary inspection-food of animal origin crude exploration, including laboratory studies to give an opinion on their future use;
7) — scientific and veterinary practices in an industry that deals with issues related to animal health and diseases, animal health requirements, which promotes animal health, productivity and welfare, provides animal infectious disease control and prevention, protect the population from infection in animals and humans in common infectious diseases, provides high-quality and consumer health products of animal origin, satisfy the animal owner, ethical and aesthetic requirements as well as ensuring the protection of the environment;
veterinary practice-8) a practicing veterinarian's professional activity, promoting animal welfare, strengthening and preservation of health, animal disease diagnosis and prevention of ill treatment of animals, as well as the preparation and sale of medicines for the care of the animals in the desired quantities;
9) aquaculture animals — nurseries grown live fish and other aquatic animals (excluding aquatic mammals and amphibians) at any stage of development, specifically for this purpose, artificially created bodies or bodies fished down the natural fish and other aquatic animals, intended for further breeding under controlled conditions;
10) reference laboratory, national power laboratory in the event of a dispute, shall assess the results of the investigation, carried out repeated investigation and provides final opinion;
11) receptive animal — animal who by contacting any of the infectious animal disease agents can occur;
veterinarian's Assistant — 12) specially trained person who has the right to take part of the inspection by the food and veterinary service under the supervision of an official veterinarian, but do not have the right to give an opinion on food of animal origin to limit further use.
2. article.  The purpose of this law is to regulate the infectious animal disease control and prevention, veterinary practice, the movement of animal products, animal and animal product import and transit and veterinary control to determine the State and local government bodies, as well as the rights and obligations of persons in the area.
Chapter II of the food and veterinary service article 3.  (1) the food and veterinary service is under the supervision of the Ministry of agriculture existing national regulatory authority.
(2) a food and veterinary service is composed of the central apparatus, territorial units, sanitary border inspection and national veterinary diagnostic Center.
(3) a food and veterinary service run by the food and veterinary service Director, who is also the country's main food and health inspector and that after the nomination of Agriculture Minister recommended the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers is appointed and released from Office by the Minister of agriculture.
4. article.  (1) the food and veterinary service, on the basis of national monitoring programmes and legislation requirements, organizes and provides a unified national monitoring and control in the following areas: 1) the infectious animal disease prevention and control;
2) animal welfare;
3) circulation of products of animal origin in accordance with the distribution of powers between the ministries of food surveillance and control;
4) animal waste;
5) veterinary medicinal products, and the products of animal veterinārfarmaceitisk care chemicals;
6) feed and feed additive;
7 animal and herd registration), negation and herd movement of animals;
8) meat carcase classification.
(2) the food and Veterinary Office has the right to: 1) in matters within their competence, to develop this law certain methodological guidance;
2) develop infectious animal disease control instructions;
3) in matters within their competence, provide opportunity to provide laboratory services;
4) within their competence to represent Latvia in international organisations and maintaining international contacts within the veterinary sector;
5) in matters within their competence, to prepare and submit applications to the Ministry of Agriculture orders to carry out scientific research.
(3) a food and veterinary service shall develop, approve and maintain animal and animal product movement, registration and accounting system, as well as system, whose task is to report on the presence of animals with infectious diseases.
5. article. The food and veterinary service Director: 1) in coordination with the Ministry of the Minister, establish, reorganise the territorial Department be dissolved and their affiliates, as well as approve the by-laws;
2) appointed and released from Office by the food and veterinary service staff;
3) appointed and released from Office by the food and veterinary service of the country's oldest food and veterinary inspectors;
4) determine the qualification requirements of the food and veterinary service officials carrying out the supervision and control of the country and ensure the fulfilment of requirements;
5) their competence under this Act, approve the methodological instructions.
6. article.  The food and veterinary service of the territorial unit in accordance with the rules and regulations shall be carried out under the supervision and control of a certain part of the territory of the country.
7. article.  (1) the food and veterinary service head of the territorial Department at the State of the territory concerned senior food and health inspector.
(2) the State of the territory concerned, senior food and health inspector appointed to and released from Office by the State food and veterinary inspectors.
8. article.  The food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors right according to their competence are: 1) without prior notice, to visit the State veterinary supervision objects, require documents and information, to take samples for laboratory examination under official control programmes or in cases of suspected animal disease with the public supervision of the animal infectious diseases and suspect or complaints of violations of the laws;
2) to stop the national veterinary surveillance operation, the object also suspend or prohibit the holding of competitions, animal market, auctions, exhibitions and other events with the participation of the animal, if the animal is suspected of possible cases of infectious diseases and there is a risk to human or animal health, as well as in cases where a breach of the requirements of the law;
3) cases administratively punished person prescribed in laws and regulations;
4) if necessary, call upon the police and other law enforcement institutions, to help it carry out its tasks;
5) stay enforcement of animal products if it poses a risk to human or animal health, as well as to control the liquidation or disposal of the products.
9. article.  The food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors may not: 1) disclose business secrets which become known to them in the performance of their duties;
2) personally or through third parties to participate in the control of the company (the company) economic activity;
3) establishment work, including inspection, the results of which are to be controlled.

10. article. (1) the food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors are responsible for the order, issued decisions and actions of regulatory compliance requirements.
(2) a food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors orders and decisions can be reversed in a higher position in the Inspector. State the main food and veterinary inspector's orders and decisions are subject to judicial review.
(3) a food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors order and decision appeal shall not suspend the execution, except in decisions on the imposition of administrative penalties administrative violations of Latvia in the cases specified in the code.
11. article. National veterinary diagnostic Center: 1) performs the function of a reference laboratory animal infectious disease diagnostics and control: a) for residues in the event of a dispute, shall evaluate the results of the investigation, carried out repeated investigation and provides final opinion, b) participates in international inter-laboratory testing Roadshow, c) submitted to the food and veterinary service proposals for infectious animal disease diagnosis and introduce internationally recognized diagnostic method, d) organizes the diagnostic investigation of samples in laboratories abroad cases When it is not possible to perform in Latvia, e) organise inter-laboratory comparative testing by the food and veterinary service of the company (the company) the self-control laboratories;
2) perform other functions of reference laboratory study ways in accordance with the Cabinet's mandate;
3) provides a residue control programme laboratory investigations;
4) on request, perform laboratory investigations in diagnosis of animal diseases in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers approved price list and order of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as laboratory investigations related to environmental and veterinary medicinal products, veterinārfarmaceitisk products, manufactured in feed and feed additive and food.
12. article.  The food and veterinary service financial resources form the national grant from the general revenue of the current year's national budget to the maximum extent permitted by law: 1) of the food and veterinary service;
2) national monitoring programmes;
3) membership in international organisations.
13. article.  The food and veterinary service food and veterinary inspectors levied fines for administrative violations, as well as the means of implementing the law on confiscated property, goods or other items, including the State budget.
14. article. The food and veterinary service of their profession is independent and responsible in accordance with the law.
Chapter III the animal infectious diseases and their prevention article 15. (1) the cabinet shall determine the State of the animals present in the monitoring of infectious diseases, including epizootic diseases, list of control and prevention are optional and fighting and Prevention organized by State.

16. article.  To ensure existing national surveillance of infectious animal disease prevention and control and develop a strategy for the liquidation of epizootic diseases, the food and veterinary service: 1) determine the epizootic situation analysis the necessary information on epizootiological situation in the country and abroad in the current year and previous years;
2) develop and approve animal infectious disease registration, tracking and analysis system;
3) analyze information and develop possible risks;
4) develop national monitoring of the animals present in infectious disease surveillance programme;
5) develop and approve the national infectious animal disease control strategies and action plans;
6) cooperate with the competent Ministry of welfare institutions, to share information about communicable diseases sick with both people and animals, develop and implement this for disease prevention and control programme;
7) in collaboration with the national forest service in the development of proposals for the hunting of wild animals for the disease situation in the rules.
Article 17.  (1) the Cabinet approved each year by the national monitoring of the animals present in infectious disease surveillance program and include it in the draft State budget funds.
(2) a food and veterinary service under the official supervision of the animals present in infectious disease surveillance program calculates the required veterinārbioloģisk and disinfectant preparations and orders them by the laws.

18. article.  The national infectious animal disease surveillance programme of the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit manager of the tendering procedure for a practicing veterinarian authorizes. 20. article. (1) animal competitions, markets, auctions, exhibitions and other events with the participation of the animals may be held with the relevant areas of national senior health inspector of the food and permission, but international action — only with the country's main food and veterinary inspectors.
(2) the cabinet shall determine the order in which animals organize competitions, markets, auctions, exhibitions and other events with the participation of the animal, as well as the required veterinary documents accompanying the movement of the animals.

(4) a food and veterinary service shall establish and maintain a national administrative and business listings, of which allowed the country to import the animals.
(5) the main food and health inspector, taking into account international trade regulatory rules, is entitled to set limits or prohibitions on animals and animal products into the territory of the country, as well as prohibit the transit through the country, if the exporting country animal infectious diseases pose a threat that can also spread the disease.
21. article. The local government provides: 1) dog and cat registration procedures set by the Cabinet of Ministers;
2) strolling the schools of dogs and cats and, if necessary, euthanasia;
3) dog and cat shelters out of the Cabinet in the order;
4) carcases of domestic Cabinet.
22. article.  If there is a danger that wild animals may carry the infectious animal disease in pets, the national forest service, taking into account the country's chief veterinary officer of the food and advice, in cooperation with the land owner or the user is organised by wildlife further.
23. article.  It is the responsibility of each person to report to the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit not buried the bodies of the animals of the forest. 25. article.  The Cabinet of Ministers shall determine: 1) requirements for animals and animal products into the country, and the export thereof from, transit transport arrangements;
2) animal waste processing and disposal procedures;
3) animal placement and maintenance of the cemetery;
4) procedures for the country by the infectious disease prevention and control, with which both animal and sick people.
Chapter IV elimination of outbreaks of epizootic diseases and the prevention of article 26.  (1) an epizootic outbreak of elimination and prevention under the Cabinet of Ministers regulations providing for an epizootic outbreak control measures, this event planning, personal and institutional competence, the movement of people and animal transport limits, notification and enforcement of orders, the rules of handling products of animal origin and animal carcasses of wild animals, hunting regulations, logistical support, vehicle disinfection and cleansing procedures, as well as detection and removal of quarantine procedures.
(2) in accordance with the first paragraph of this article of the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations food and veterinary service developed and approved by the Minister of agriculture for each organisation to a plan of action, which included the following instructions:

1) and veterinary diagnosis procedures in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease;
2) animal emergency vaccination in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease;
3) action professional field in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease;
4 combating epizootic diseases) veterinarians and persons involved in the training.
27. article. (1) in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease in Latvia or in neighbouring countries, the Cabinet of Ministers after the country's main food and veterinary inspectors determined the proposal immediately quarantine and act in accordance with the Civil protection law.
(2) in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease in Latvia or in neighbouring countries, the Cabinet of Ministers by the food and veterinary service and the national forest service agreed the proposal establishes quarantine measures on wild animal hunting.
(3) quarantine conditions, hunting of wild animals may be the only tool Cabinet.
28. article. The quarantine includes: 1) an epizootic of affected point (where the infectious animal disease or the herd);
2) protection zone (not less than three kilometers radius around the affected organisation);
3) a surveillance zone (not less than 10 kilometers radius of the affected organisation).
29. article.  An epizootic outbreak spread further threat after the State cabinet Chief Veterinary Officer of the food and the proposal of the surveillance zone established around the controlled area in which emergency vaccination of animals.

2) in relation to animal products, animal feed, Animal pheromones, bedding and other products and materials, which may contain disease agents: (a) the sampling laboratory) investigation, b), pasteurisation, sterilisation of disposal or destruction, c) disinfection and dezinvadēšan;
3) in relation to premises where staying in people and animals, which have been in contact with infected or potentially infected animals, as well as to equipment, cleaning, washing, disinfection, pest control and pest extermination;
4) enhanced monitoring and observation of the animals.
31. article. If there is a danger that the disease may spread further in Latvia or in neighbouring countries, the Cabinet asked the National Guard to stop or restrict traffic across national borders.
32. article.  The Cabinet of Ministers after the country's chief veterinary officer of the food and the proposal repeals the quarantine.
33. article. An epizootic outbreak of funds and relief and loss compensation to owners of animals and animal products, allocated from the national budget provided for these purposes funds according to a specially created programs, infectious animal disease outbreak or the threat of the clearance programme and infectious animal diseases compensation program. The said program funding the current year's State budget as provided for in national law, long term commitment.
34. article. An epizootic outbreak of relief funds for the food and veterinary service used: 1) biological preparations and the purchase of disinfectants;
2) veterinary instruments and other materials for purchase;
3) pay for the official veterinarian;
4) transport expenses.
35. article.  (1) in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic animal owner, if he met all the requirements, shall have the right in accordance with this law, article 33 receive compensation for: 1) forcibly and destroy animals slaughtered;
2) the carcases destroyed and animal products;
3) destroyed animal feed and equipment;
4) losses incurred, disinfection of the animal housing;
5) losses due to limitation of economic activity and product sales ban;
6) forced vaccination of animals.
(2) procedures in the event of an outbreak of an epizootic disease and receives compensation awarded shall be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Chapter v supervision of existing National infectious animal disease (with the exception of epizootic) against article 36. State supervision of animal infectious diseases (excluding epizootics) combats animal owner together with the food and veterinary service officials and for practicing veterinarians, in accordance with the provisions of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Minister of agriculture confirmed infectious animal disease control instructions.
37. article.  (1) the expenses associated with this law referred to in article 36 of the infectious animal diseases shall be borne by the owner of the animal or it pays of the infectious animal disease outbreak or the threat of dissolution provided for in the programme budget.
(2) the order in which the State budget allocates and receives the first part of the above features, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
38. article. (1) For the national surveillance of infectious diseases of animals (with the exception of epizootic diseases), where all susceptible animals are slaughtered and taken all measures for infectious animal disease control manual of animal owner can receive compensation according to the infectious animal disease, the compensation provided for in the programme budget and 50 percent from the average of kautprodukt.

39. article. (1) the holder of the associations of animals and animal products between producers and processors ' associations have the right to develop the infectious animal disease (not national) program.
(2) the Association of holders of animals and animal products between producers and processors Association programmes coordinated by the food and veterinary service Director.
Chapter VI products of animal origin for the circulation of national supervision article 40.  (1) undertakings (companies) that are involved in the movement of animal products (extraction, processing, storage, transportation, realization of markets), must be a food and veterinary service identified and included food and veterinary service of the company (the company) in the list.

Article 41.  (1) animal product circulation necessary veterinary documents accompanying determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
(2) the importation of animal products, and the export thereof from, the country needs food and veterinary service confirmed the veterinary health certificate.
(3) a food and veterinary service shall establish and maintain a national administrative and business listings, of which allowed the country to import products of animal origin.
Article 42. The Cabinet of Ministers of the movement of animal products in the field of the monitoring of the country determines: 1) veterinary and hygiene requirements for slaughterhouses;
2) order in which to hunt a wild animal pre-treatment and preparation for distribution;
3) animal species, which have allowed some slaughterhouses;
4) veterinary and hygiene requirements for fishing vessels, fishing, fishing products, freezer factory ship and fishing boats;
5), arrangements are made for veterinary inspection, and inspection to conduct the necessary work conditions;
6) constraints limit food of animal origin and home produced food of animal origin products trade;
7) control and its funding levels;
8) the requirements for the importation of animal products in the country, and the export thereof from transit traffic.
Chapter VII food of animal origin crude distribution and inspection article 43.  (1) the food and veterinary service organizes the ante mortem inspection of animals and post-mortem inspection (inspection).
(2) the veterinary inspection carried out in accordance with the food and veterinary service Director-approved methodological instructions.

44. article.  Kautprodukt, game, chilled and frozen fishery products distributed only by the food and veterinary service carried out by the official veterinarian inspection and in accordance with his opinion on the future use of the products (may be used for human consumption or to be followed freely what conditions, may be used or otherwise they must be).
Article 45.  The food and veterinary service of the opinion of the certifying official veterinarian, pressing on the carcass or portion of the stamp, which is the approval number of the slaughterhouse.
Article 46.  (1) the owner of the Slaughterhouse contracts with food and veterinary service Director of the inspection and to carry out the necessary work conditions.
(2) fishing vessels, fishing or fishing products in freezer factory ship holder contract with food and veterinary service Director for inspection after carrying out the landing of fishery products on or before their sales and provide the expertise necessary to perform the work.
47. article.  (1) the food and veterinary service inspection for the tender of the performance mandate for the persons who have the qualifications and the official veterinarian of the Cabinet in the order received the certificate for the right to carry out inspection. (2) a veterinarian may have assistants who have received the certificate of the Minister of agriculture.

48. article.  Crude food of animal origin (eggs, honey, milk) and home produced food of animal origin products are distributed only in markets that are recognised by the food and veterinary service and which are included in the food and veterinary service of the company (the company) in the list.
49. article. Markets crude food of animal origin (eggs, honey, milk) and home produced food of animal origin products may be marketed only after the food and veterinary service veterinarian carried out a market inspection, and only in accordance with his opinion on the future use of the products.
50. article. The administration of the concluded contract market by the food and veterinary service Director of the inspection and to carry out the necessary work conditions.
51. article.  (1) inspection a subscriber pays the food and veterinary service of inspection carried out in accordance with the price list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and the Cabinet.
(2) a food and veterinary service paid to authorised veterinarian on veterinary inspection.
Chapter VIII of the veterinary controls at national borders and customs warehousing article 52. Veterinary controls at national borders and customs warehouses carry out food and veterinary service.
53. article. The Cabinet determines: 1) veterinary control under the import and transit cargo;
2) through border inspection posts, which are certified to carry goods subject to veterinary control;
3) requirements relating to the arrangements for border inspection posts where the veterinary checks are carried out, and their recognition procedures;
4) procedures for veterinary checks are carried out on the State border and customs warehouses;
5) veterinary control billing;
6) cargo crossing the border veterinary control certificate issuance and design procedures.
Chapter IX rights deal with veterinary practices in article 54.  (1) veterinary practice in Latvia authorised to engage the natural persons whose acquired rights to practise veterinary practice.
(2) the right to engage in the practice of veterinary can get a person who is a citizen of Latvia: 1) or a person who is not a citizen of the Republic of Latvia passports and which has won state accredited study programmes according to the higher veterinary education;
2) alien whose qualifications are recognised by the veterinary legislation.
(3) the official veterinarian qualifications acquired abroad citizen of Latvia or a person who is not a citizen of the Republic of Latvia passports, is recognised in the laws.
(4) the right to engage in the practice of veterinary certificate certifying that the Cabinet of Ministers duly issued and revoke the Latvian society of veterinary surgeons.
(5) a Person who acquired rights to practise veterinary practice, may deal with veterinary practices throughout the entire territory of Latvia.
Chapter x practicing vets the rights and obligations of article 55. Practicing veterinarian has the right to: 1) tender to conclude an agreement with the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit manager for animal infectious diseases preventive surveillance measures set out in the programme, providing for the payment of the Cabinet in the order;
2) tender to conclude an agreement with the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit manager relating to veterinary inspection and receive wages in the food and veterinary service of the territorial unit;
3) in agreement with the animal owner or employer to receive a fee or salary for the veterinary care of animals;
4) sell the animal to the owner of the animals needed for the course of treatment products;
5) write out the recipe for the animal's owner and veterinārfarmaceitisk for the purchase of products in pharmacies;
6) to buy medicines and veterinārfarmaceitisko products pharmaceutical activities in enterprises (companies) veterinary practices;
7) refuse to carry out the veterinary practice, if the work does not conform to the veterinarian's professional skills, are contrary to this law, other laws or veterinary veterinary work ethic, as well as when the animal's owner does not comply with the instructions of the official veterinarian, or does not provide veterinary health and life safe working conditions;
8) monitoring over the hunting of wild animals under quarantine conditions.
Article 56.  Practicing veterinarian must: 1) to inform the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit managers on the initiation of veterinary practices;
2) to provide emergency medical treatment for animals, for which the preventive monitoring of infectious diseases contracted by the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit manager;
3) immediately to report to the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit managers for the national infectious animal disease outbreaks or suspicions about them and to act in accordance with the Minister of agriculture confirmed infectious animal disease control instructions to the future national senior health inspector of the food and orders;
4) to participate in the national fight against the disease in the surveillance by the food and veterinary service of the relevant territorial unit leader's invitation and receive payment for it;
5) inform the owner in writing of the limits of the animal for animals as well as animal food products after the drug treatment of these animals;

57. article.  Veterinary practice may be used only in the country of the authorized medicinal products and veterinārfarmaceitisko products.
Chapter XI animal owners rights and duties Article 58. Animal owners have the right to: 1) to receive veterinary care of animals;
2) get an opinion on the animal health situation or the cause of death;
3) require written proof of the official veterinarian practicing on animals the modifications veterinārmedicīniskaj activities and their results.
Article 59. Animal owners are obliged to: 1) in collaboration with practicing veterinarians keep infectious animal disease prevention and control, with the exception of State monitoring of the animals present in infectious disease prevention and control;
2) to ensure the welfare of the necessary conditions, but sick animals — timely veterinary care, as well as provide a practicing veterinarian at the necessary working conditions and animal veterinary procedure for filing;

4) show and put the next owner of the papers on the animal health status of the animals and the animal infectious disease preventive measures (e.g., vaccination certificates, veterinary certificates);

7) provide supervision in the national infectious animal disease-related preventive measures within the time limits laid down;

8) immediately to report to the medical veterinarian of the animal's sudden death or multiple animal disease at the same time or any event that leads to the suspicion of the presence of the animal with a communicable disease;
9) animals for slaughter in slaughterhouses marketing cabinet order;
10) ensure the carcases of the Cabinet in the order;

60. article. In the case of disposal of animals the animal owner can lodge complaints to the seizure of the animal's health status during 30 days from the date of expropriation, provided that the animal taken with the existing national surveillance of infectious animal diseases related preventive measures.
Transitional provisions 1. Veterinary practice licences issued before the entry into force of this Act, shall remain in force until the period set in the licence.
2. Veterinārfeldšer, which got an average special education until 1992 and which have veterinary practice license, after the food and veterinary service Director in areas where the proposal is not sufficient for the number of Veterinary Surgeons practising, practising veterinarians can perform a function after you have received the right to engage in veterinary practice.
3. Until 1 January 2003 the food and veterinary service financial features also make revenue on food and veterinary service of paid services provided.
4. the Cabinet of Ministers until 1 January 2003 the provisions referred to in this law shall be issued.
5. Until the adoption of the provisions of the Cabinet has the following Cabinet of Ministers regulations, in so far as they are not inconsistent with this law: 1) of 27 March 1997, Regulation No 109 of the "slaughter";
2) April 21, 1998 regulations No. 143 "veterinary provisions for the slaughter of animals and kautprodukt for the generation of low-capacity slaughterhouses";
3) 14 July 1998 Regulation No. 251 "rules on the registration of aquaculture animal nursery, river basin area, the approval of aquaculture animal diseases control, farms and river basin areas and requirements applicable to tenders of aquaculture animals on the market";
4) 25 august 1998 the Regulation No 320 "order in which Latvia imported milk and milk products";
5) 25 august 1998 the Regulation No 323 "animal contagious diseases list";
6) august 31, 1998 regulations No. 329 "veterinary provisions for the slaughter of animals and kautprodukt for the generation of high-capacity slaughterhouses";
7) 11 May 1999 the Regulation No 174 "procedures for imported meat in Latvia".
6. With the entry into force of this Act invalidates the law on veterinary medicine "(Republic of Latvia Supreme Council and Government Informant, 1992,/31.nr.; The Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1994, no. 4; 1995, no 3; in 1996, no 24; 1997, no. 16).
7. Article 3 of this law the second part concerning the sanitary border inspection and article 52, shall enter into force on 1 January 2002.
8. Article 54 of this law in the fourth part of the Cabinet of Ministers referred to in rules issued by the Latvian society of veterinary surgeons and veterinary practices will void the licenses.
9. To determine that the food and veterinary service's national veterinary service successor rights and obligations.
The law shall enter into force on 1 July 2001.
The Parliament adopted the law of 2001 on April 26.
The President of the Parliament instead of the President j. stream in Riga, 16 May 2001 law shall enter into force on 1 July 2001, but a separate article for entry into force — see. Transitional provisions.
