The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on the amendments to the railway to make Railway Act (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 9; 1999, no. 5, 23; 2001, nr. 1; 2003, no. 6) as follows: 1. Replace the entire law, the word "Finance" with the word "financial".
2. Add to the first paragraph of article 31 to 14 by the following: "14) issued the license to the carrier for the transportation of goods by rail."
3. Express article 34 the seventh part of the first sentence the following wording: "the railway administration shall issue the licence to the carrier for the transportation of goods by rail and the public service Commission shall issue the licence to the carrier for the transportation of passengers by rail, having met the requirements set out in this Act and the duty paid. State fees shall be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. "
The Parliament adopted the law of 10 April.
