The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendment to the law "on the Hague Convention on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition, enforcement and cooperation in respect of parental responsibility and measures for the protection of children" make law "on the Hague Convention on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition, enforcement and cooperation in respect of parental responsibility and measures for the protection of children" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002 22. no; 2003, no. 11) following amendment: replace the words "in article 2 of the Minister with special responsibility for children and Family Affairs Secretariat" with the words "child and Family Affairs Ministry".
The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation.
The Parliament adopted the law of 27 May 2004.
The President of the Parliament instead of the President i. Otter Riga 10 June 2004 an editorial added: the law shall enter into force on 11 June 2004.
