The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on the restored Republic of Latvia in the 1937 civil law, family law, the entry into force of part time and order" make law "on restoring the Republic of Latvia in the 1937 civil law, family law, the entry into force of part time and order" (Republic of Latvia Supreme Council and Government Informant, 1993, 22/23.nr.; The Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 14; 2002, no. 22) the following amendments: 1. Express article 6, second paragraph, the second sentence by the following: "proof of divorce is a statement or certificate from the records of the Divorce Act or statement or certificate from the marriage register with news about divorce."
2. in article 10: turn off in the first paragraph, the words "marriage and illegitimate birth";
turn off the second part of the word "illegitimate".
3. turn off in article 11 the words "marriage and illegitimate birth".
The Parliament adopted the law on 10 March 2005.
State v. President Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga in Riga on 24 March 2005, an editorial added: the law shall enter into force on 7 April 2005.
