The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on amendments to the tourism draw of the tourism law (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 21; 1999, no. 22; 2002; 2003, 4, no, no. 6) as follows: 1. Replace the words "the whole law firm (company)" (fold) with the word "businessman" (fold).

4. To make article 4 second subparagraph by the following: "(2) the tourism policy development and implementation is being developed for tourism development policy planning documents."
5. in article 6: make the first paragraph by the following: "(1) the Ministry of economy is the tourism industry's leading (higher) authority. Its function is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. "
to make the second part of paragraph 1 by the following: "1) develop national tourist development policy, organize and coordinate its implementation;";
make the second subparagraph of paragraph 4 by the following: ' 4) to plan for State aid to the tourism industry; ";
turn off the second part of paragraph 6;
to make the second part of paragraph 7 as follows: "7) prepare and implement international agreements on cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as to coordinate the international project development."
6. Add to article 7, paragraph 7, after the word "the" with the words "operators and workers of economic activity".
7. Express article 8 paragraph 4 by the following: "4) participate in the tourist information centre, and the establishment of stand point and funding;".
8. in article 9: replace the first paragraph, the words "and public organizations representatives" with the words "as well as the society and foundation representatives";
replace the third paragraph, the words "and public bodies to cooperate" with the words "as well as the cooperation of associations and foundations".
9. Put the title of chapter III, the following: "chapter III. Tourist services ".
10. Article 11: article name be expressed as follows: "article 11. Tourism services providers and their activities ";
make the first part as follows: "(1) tourism services may be provided by law in order to register a trader or an economic operator if its operational objective is individual or complex tourist service of tourists.";
make the second paragraph, the introductory paragraph as follows: "(2) providers of tourism services by activity are broken down as follows:";
to make the second part of paragraph 3 as follows: "3) complex tourist service provider;";
to make the second part of paragraph 5 by the following: "5) tourist information Office, Center, point;"
Add to the second part of paragraph 6 by the following: "6) tourist guide.";

to make a fifth by the following: "(5) the preparation of a complex tourist service and sales order, customer information, as well as the complex tourist service provider and the customer's rights and obligations regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers regulations.";
to supplement the article with sixth and seventh paragraph as follows: "(6) tourist guide services in the territory of Latvia can give the person legislation duly received a certificate of professional qualification. Tourist guide-certification and a procedure for the provision of services is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
(7) Economic operators and economic agents ensure that the accommodation will be housed foreigners personally completed and signed declaration form and prove their identity by producing a valid identity certificate. This provision shall not apply to the spouses of foreigners, minor children and tourist groups. Declaration form for foreigners who travel to tourist groups, fill in and sign the tour leader. Sample declaration form, filling out, signing, storage procedures and deadlines, as well as the order in which it shall be made available to law enforcement authorities, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. "
11. To make article 14 the following: ' article 14. Tourist information providers (1) tourist information provider in Latvia has the following breakdown: 1) tourism development created the Office of the national agency that operates in Latvia or abroad and provides information on tourist attractions and services in the region or nationwide and help tourism services;

12. To supplement the law with article 16.1 the following: ' article 16.1. Hostel conformity assessment and certification (1) tourist accommodation quality and competitiveness lifting is a conformity assessment certificate issued.
(2) Hostel conformity assessment and certification is voluntary.
(3) If accommodation is not made in conformity assessment and certification according to national standards, it is not entitled to public information materials refer to the Latvian national standard classification categories.
(4) Tourist accommodation in conformity assessment and certification according to national standards in the laws made in accordance with the procedure laid down in the certification body accredited. "
13. transitional provisions be supplemented with points 3 and 4 by the following: "3. This Act article 11, sixth paragraph, shall enter into force on January 1, 2008.
4. Article 11 of this law, the seventh subparagraph shall enter into force on 1 January 2007. "
14. To supplement the law with the informative reference to European Union directives as follows: "Informative reference to European Union directive included provisions in the law arising from the Council of Europe on 13 June 1990 directive 90/314/EEC on package travel, package holidays and package tour."
