The scope of the law, the law defines fire safety, fire and rescue service and organization system, natural and legal persons the tasks and competences in the field of fire protection and fire-fighting, as well as the State fire and rescue service and the State fire and rescue service officers with special ranks (hereinafter referred to as the officer with a special service rank) obligations, rights and remedies. "
3. Replace article 4, third paragraph, the words "the law" On public organizations and their associations "with the words" society and Foundation law ".
4. Add to the first paragraph of article 13 of the second sentence as follows: "the State fire and rescue service Chief at the main State Fire supervision inspectors, but his Deputy, major national fire safety inspector Deputy of supervision."
5. Express article 18, first paragraph, the second sentence by the following: "the content of the Training shall be coordinated with the national fire and rescue service Chief."
6. To supplement the law with article 23.1 as follows: "article 23.1. Participation in international missions and operations (1) official with a special service rank are participating in international missions and operations by international organisations, the Union or the community resolution, recommendation or request, with which the Republic of Latvia has concluded international treaties.
(2) the decision on the officials with a special service rank in participation in international missions and operations, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted.
(3) the order in which officers with a special service rank are sent to the membership in international missions and operations, the conditions for the participation of the officials concerned in these missions and operations, as well as the financing of the participation shall be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. "
