The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on associations and foundations to make society and Foundation Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2003, nr. 23; 2004, nr. 20) the following amendments: 1. Complement to article 10 the third paragraph as follows: "(3) associations and foundations, which the statutory objectives focused on human rights or the safeguard of individuals ' rights, has rights to the injured persons to consent or judicial action and to defend their rights or legitimate interests in the cases associated with different treatment ban violation. "
2. To supplement the law with the informative reference to European Union directives as follows: "Informative reference to European Union directives, the law includes provisions resulting from: 1) of the Council of 29 June 2000, Directive 2000/43/EC implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin;
2) Council of 27 November 2000 Directive 2000/78/EC, establishing a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation. "
The law adopted by the Parliament in 2006 on November 2.
