The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: The constitutional amendment of University of Washington State in article 1. I. General provisions 1. II. The University provides study and research integrity; 9.3. the University provides cognitive and scientific freedom, according to the University's scientific priorities for action supports research and dissemination of results; 9.4. the University supports its business activities in compliance with the principle of academic freedom in student and academic staff.
III. The right to vote and to be elected to the constituent Assembly and the Senate are: academic staff 13.1; 13.2. General staff; 13.3. the student. Academic staff are eligible for funding scientific and academic work of the University and other sources to promote University goals and tasks. 18. Professors and associate professors, who have reached the retirement age, the University may award the honorary title of Emeritus Professor-. 19. The Senate is entitled to delegate this permission to other scientific institutions established or participated in the formation of the University. 24. The University shall grant the academic and general staff leave in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia. The Senate is entitled to extra leave. Leave granted by the Rector's order if the Senate decision otherwise.

V. University of management, administration and structure 29. representation and management of the University and the main decision-making bodies is: 29.1. The constitutional meeting; 29.2. The Audit Commission of 3 (three) persons elected by the composition of the constituent Assembly for two years. The members of the Audit Commission can revoke the constitutional meeting. The Audit Commission can be elected elected academic staff and student representatives. The Audit Commission tasks and functions are defined in the Charter of the Audit Commission. 48. The universities academic Tribunal shall consist of 3 (three) members, of whom 2 (two), by secret vote, elected by the constituent Assembly of the academic staff, and one (1) student elected by the authority of a full time student.
