The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the public entertainment and celebratory event safety law in Public Entertainment and celebratory event Security Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2005, nr. 14), the amendments are as follows: 1. To supplement article 1 to 1.1 in the following wording: "11) public place within the meaning of this law, any place in which, regardless of its actual use or form of ownership serves the public interest and the common needs and which in return for payment or free of charge, is available to any the physical person who is not the owner of the place, the legal possessor, keeper, employee or other person, the location of which the site is linked to the performance of the duties of the job, the Organization of the event or have a company agreement; ".
2. Supplement article 5, first paragraph, first sentence, after the words "where administrative territory for the measure tool in" the words and the number "no later than 15 days before the scheduled start of the event to the public".
3. in article 7: make the first paragraph by the following: "(1) the municipality shall examine the application within 10 days of its receipt.";
Add to sixth with text by the following: "the civil insurance fact, copies of the identity documents of the event organizer shall be submitted not later than two days before the scheduled start of the event to the public. If the event organizer is not filed within the time of the facts supporting the civil insurance document copies, the municipality shall not grant authorisation for the organisation of the event in question. "
4. Supplement article 10 with 2.1 part as follows: "(21) If a public event organizer is the only national or local authority, it is entitled to ignore the second part of this article, the requirements of point 8. State and local government authority has an obligation to pay damages, which the event organizer of the acts or omissions of the event may occur to third parties. "
The Parliament adopted the law on 17 July 2008.
President Valdis Zatlers in Riga V 2008 July 30 Editorial Note: the law shall enter into force on 13 august 2008.
