The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on the public prosecutor's Office to make the prosecution Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1994, no. 12; 1996, 5, 13 no, 9, 23; 1998. no; 2000, No 14; 2002, 13, 22 no; 2003; 2005, 15 no no 14; 2007, nr. 10) the following amendments: 1. Express article 27, the first paragraph by the following: "(1) District (the town of the Republic) the public prosecutor's Office established the Attorney General pursuant to the district (municipal) courts. Area (city of the Republic) the public prosecutor's Office shall perform all the functions of the public prosecutor's Office in the district (City) Court in the territory. The district (of the city), the Prosecutor's Office prosecutors have the right to carry out the functions of the public prosecutor in district (municipal) courts and regional courts of jurisdiction over cases. "
2. transitional provisions be supplemented with paragraph 11 and 12 as follows: "11. Article 27 of this law, which requires district (of the city) level of the reorganization of the public prosecutor's Office according to the district (municipal) courts, shall enter into force on July 1, 2009.
12. The area (of the city) level of the reorganization of the public prosecutor's Office according to the district (municipal) courts completed by 1 October 2009. "
The Parliament adopted the law on 17 July 2008.
