The Saeima has adopted and the President issued the following law: amendments to the law "on compulsory social insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases" make law "on compulsory social insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1996, nr. 1; 1997, no. 3; 1998; 2000, no. 21, no. 2, no. 1; 2001; 2005, nr. 2), the amendments are as follows: 1. Replace article 7 paragraph 5 of the first paragraph, the number "14" with the number "10".
2. Replace article 19 paragraph 1, third paragraph, the number "14" with the number "10".
3. To supplement the transitional provisions with paragraph 8 by the following: ' 8. Worker who, in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers in the order issuing sick-the right to be paid by the employer is the money incurred up to 31 December 2008 and work could not continue uninterrupted after 1 January 2009, the money for temporary incapacity period 11 to 14 calendar days continue to pay the employer. "
The law shall enter into force on 1 January 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law on 14 November 2008.
In place of the President of the parliamentary President G. Lot in Riga in 2008 on December 2, the Editorial Note: the law shall enter into force by 1 January 2009.
