The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of Sport do the Sports Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 23; 2003, No 23.5; 2004; 2005, nr. 14. No; 2006, nr. 24) as follows: 1. Turn off the third paragraph of article 5.
2. in article 10: Supplement third subparagraph following the words ' clubs and other "with the word" legal ";
to make the fourth subparagraph by the following: "(4) the sports federations shall have the right to manage and coordinate work in the sport (in appropriate sports) or the area of the country, as well as to represent the country in international sports organisations concerned, if the Federation is recognized in accordance with the procedure laid down in this Act.";
replace the sixth paragraph, the words "sports management" with the word "Latvia".
3. To supplement the law with 10.1 and 10.2 of the following article: "10.1 Sport federations recognition criteria and procedures (1) Sports Federation is recognised, if it meets the following criteria: 1) Sports Federation statutes specified the purpose of the action sports (the sports) or the scope of the development of the country;
2 sports federations represented in) Sports (represented in sports) or activities are organised sports competitions;
3) Sports Federation statutes specified the Executive term not longer than four years;
4 Sports Federation) members are only legal persons;
5) Sports Federation Executive Director is the citizen of the Republic of Latvia;
6) Sports Federation merchant no more than half the total number of members of sports federations;
7) Sports Federation shall operate in the Anti-Doping Convention;
8) information about the Federation and its sport events is available on the internet.

5. Add to article 20 of the fourth subparagraph by the following: "(4) sports Specialist certification fee determined by the Cabinet of Ministers."
6. transitional provisions be supplemented with paragraph 8 by the following: ' 8. The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation.
The Parliament adopted the law of 29 January 2009.
