The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on Civil protection in the Civil Protection Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2006, no. 22, no. 16; 2008) follows: 1. Article 7: make the first part of paragraph 9 by the following: "9) to coordinate the civil protection organisation of training at national and regional level according to the tasks that the national civil protection plan in certain institutions;"
to make the second part of paragraph 2 as follows: "2) cabinet order to control civil protection issues governing the statutory civil protection requirements, to prepare for the examination in the field of civil protection deficiencies identified, as well as to provide to public authorities, local authorities and economic operators about the lack of consultation and the development of civil protection measures;".
2. Express article 15 the third paragraph as follows: "(3) the media and electronic means of communication of the public free of charge publicity the State fire and rescue service's information and advice on the risk behaviour of the population, as well as information about the alarm siren readiness checks, subject to the conditions of service of the urgency of providing information."
The Parliament adopted the law of 19 February 2009.
