The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: amended immigration law to make the Immigration Act (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 24; 2003; 2004, nr. 16, 10 no, No 14; 2005; 2006, 1, 5, 9; 2007, nr. 5, 15 No 3, 13; 2008. no) the following amendments: 1. Supplement article 6, second sentence, after the words "national fee" with the words "or to require a short-term visa, apply a reduced rate of State fee ".
2. Express article 32, first paragraph, point 2 as follows: "2) Administration: a) the foreigner who is staying in the Republic of Latvia with a residence permit (b)) a foreigner who is staying legally in the Republic of Latvia and who is in another European Union Member State of the European Community issued a permanent resident permit, c) foreigners who, in another Member State of the European Union the European Community issued a permanent resident permit, family, who reside legally in the Republic of Latvia If the family is established in another Member State of the European Union before the foreigner who is in another Member State of the European Community issued a permanent resident permit, requested a termiņuzturēšan permit in the Republic of Latvia, d) foreigners the inviter (accredited educational institution) who submit documents to receive a residence permit for foreigners studying in the Republic of Latvia, the accredited educational institution in accordance with this law, article 23, first paragraph, point 10. This procedure does not apply to foreigners, which is this law, in article 4, the ninth in the part list includes national citizen or a foreigner, who is granted in a foreign country, stateless persons refugee status or subsidiary or temporary protection granted; ".
The Parliament adopted the law of 26 February 2009.
