The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of food surveillance in food surveillance Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 7; 2002, nr. 2, 20; 2003; 2004, nr. 24, no. 14, 2006, 23; 1. No; 2007, 3, 21; 2008, no. 5.) the following amendments: 1. in article 21.1: turn off in the first paragraph, the words "sanitary border inspection";
to make the fourth and fifth by the following: "(4) the National Chief Veterinary Officer of the food and the power of the food and veterinary service state senior inspectors and State inspectors to carry out the supervision and control of the country in question.
(5) the food and veterinary service of the territorial unit conducts the national monitoring and control function in the certain part of the territory of the country. "
turn off the sixth and seventh.
2. Replace article 22 of the sixth paragraph, the words "sanitary border inspection" by the words "food and veterinary service".
3. Express article 27, the first paragraph by the following: "(1) the food and veterinary service of the country's main food and veterinary inspector, Senior Inspector, State Inspector (hereinafter referred to as a food and veterinary service officer), issued a written warning to the food company, has the right to suspend or restrict the operation of food establishments (including departments or individual equipment), if found non-compliance with food regulations regulatory requirements."
The law shall enter into force on July 1, 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law of 12 June 2009.
