The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on the support of the unemployed and jobs seekers to make the unemployed and job seekers support Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 12; 2004, nr. 11, 8. No; 2005; 2006; 2007, no. 13, no. 15; 2009, 6. no) the following amendments: 1. in article 3.1: to supplement the first part with point 5 and 6 by the following : "5) training programs in adult engagement in lifelong learning;
6) training programmes in risk of unemployment employed persons. ';
to supplement the article with sixth and seventh paragraph as follows: "(6) training programs for adult lifelong learning intervention ensures that adults make it possible to supplement and optimize the working life of the necessary knowledge and skills.
(7) training programmes in risk of unemployment employed persons shall ensure that the following persons an opportunity to develop their professional skills and training, and promote sustainable jobs. "
2. Supplement article 4, third paragraph, after the words "scholarship award" with the words "remediation and recovery".
3. Supplement article 5, third paragraph, after the word "education" with the words "training program in adult engagement in lifelong learning, training for the risk of unemployment employed persons".
4. Supplement article 12 with a fifth by the following: "(5) a Person the status of unemployed person lost the first part of this article 1, 2, 3 or in paragraph 11 for the reasons given, have the right to finish this law article 3, first paragraph, point 1 of this active employment during the event started learning programs."
5. Supplement article 15 with the seventh subparagraph by the following: "(7) the Person who lost the status of job seekers in the third-part 1, 2, and 7, paragraph reasons, have the right to finish this law article 3, first paragraph, point 3 of this active employment during the event started learning programs."
6. in article 16: replace the second part of the number and the words "3.1" in the first paragraph with numbers and the words "3.1 the first paragraph of article 1, 2, 3 and 4.";
Add to article 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 of the part as follows: "(21) in the first subparagraph of this article, rights and the right to engage in this Act 3.1 the first paragraph of article 6 paragraph 5 referred to preventive measures in reducing unemployment is the unemployment risk working party corresponding to the article 2 of this law the second part, has reached the age of 25 years and the present legal relationships (except civil servants status people).

The law shall enter into force on July 1, 2009.
The Parliament adopted the law of 18 June 2009.
