The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law "on amendments to the radiation safety and nuclear safety" make law "on radiation safety and nuclear safety" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2000, nr. 22; 2002, 21; 2005, nr. 5. no no, 22; 2008) follows: 1. To make article 4 by the following: "article 4. The supervisory and control body national monitoring and control of radiation safety and nuclear safety the national regulatory authorities the national environmental service radiation safety Centre (hereinafter referred to as the Centre). "

Center officials issued decisions radiation safety control issues can challenge the State Environmental Department Director-General. The Director-General of the national environmental guard decision can be appealed in court. The Center issued administrative act, as well as officials of the Centre of the decisions issued by the opposition or appeal shall not suspend their activities. "

The Parliament adopted the law of 12 June 2009.
