The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on religious organizations to make religious organizations Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1995, nr. 21; 1996; 1997, no. 15, 7. no; 1998; 2000, no. 7, no. 14; 2002, nr. 20; 2009, 3. no) the following amendments: 1. Supplement article 5, fifth with text by the following: "as well as the opinion of the Court in cases of illegally seized property recovery If the property object is requested by several religious organisations ".
2. in article 10: make the first part of the introductory paragraph and paragraph 1 by the following: "(1) the statutes of religious organizations (Constitution, by-laws) shall: 1) religious organization name and confessional affiliation, and the name obviously must be different not only from the rules laid down in the country and applied for registered religious organizations and authorities, but also from other institutions vest register registers the registered entity applied for and names; name must not contain misleading news about the religious organization legal form, purpose and mode of operation; the name may not deceive about the parish affiliation to religious Union (Church), where the Church does not recognise his membership at lawfully registered religious Union (Church); ";
turn off the third part of the second and third sentence.
3. turn off the fourth paragraph of article 17 of the second sentence.
The Parliament adopted the law on 29 October 2009.
