The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of mail do Postal Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2009, No 14) the following amendments: 1. Replace article 27 in the fifth paragraph, the words "winner" with the words "postal operators".
2. transitional provisions: replace paragraph 5, the words "universal postal service" with the words "subscribe press delivery service";
make paragraph 9 by the following: "9.2012 31 December the Regulator in accordance with article 27 of this law, a third competition, the postal operator shall determine who will provide the universal postal service after December 31, 2012."
Add to transitional provisions with paragraph 10 by the following: "10 to 2012 December 31, universal postal service throughout the territory of the Republic of Latvia provides that the postal operator to this law, the date of entry into force of the individual has been issued a license for the provision of universal postal services. Without this law, article 27, third paragraph provides for the competition, the Governor shall determine this mail operator to universal postal service obligations by 2012 31 December, not to subscribe to the press delivery service. "
The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation.
