The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the consumer protection law in consumer protection law (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1999, no. 9; 2002, 1. No; 2003; 2004, nr. 11, no. 11; 2005, nr. 24; 2007, nr. 9, 12, 15; 2008 No 13. nr., 2009) the following amendments: 1. To supplement the law with article 4.2 as follows : "4.2 article. Different national law provisions, the Contracting Parties may agree that the discussion of the legal relationship of the applicable national rules, which are not members of the European economic area Member State if both of the following conditions are met: 1 the performance of contractual obligations) or other contract conditions are directly related to one of the Member States of the European economic area;
2) the applicable law provides for more favourable protection to the consumer than this law. "
2. in article 28: turn off the first part of paragraph 2, the words "without charge";
make the second paragraph as follows: "(2) the product exchangeable or its non-compliance with the provisions of the contract prevented free (including free shipping, labour, goods, materials and other costs) and a reasonable period of time, without causing inconvenience to the consumer, and taking into account the nature of the goods, as well as the expected its purpose."
The Parliament adopted the law of 26 November 2009.
