The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on the family courts to make family courts Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2006, no. 15, no. 3; 2007; 2009, 2, 13, 14 no; Latvian journal, 2009, 193. No.) the following amendments: 1. in article 5: to make the title and first paragraph by the following: "article 5. Monitoring activities and fosters methodological assistance (1) the national child rights protection Inspectorate monitors the activities of the child's family courts and other legally incompetent persons, the protection of the rights and interests and provide them with methodological assistance. ";
turn off third.
2. in article 13: Add to the third paragraph, the words "or, if requested by the national child protection inspection";
to supplement the article with the seventh subparagraph by the following: "(7) the decision of the President of the family courts, family courts, or the Deputy Chairman of the family courts of the members of the suspension from Office may be appealed to the Court of Justice of the administrative procedure law. Appeal shall not suspend the decision. "
3. in article 14: Supplement to the second part of the article as follows: "(2) the decision of the President of the family courts, family courts, or the Deputy Chairman of the abolition of the members of the family courts from the post may be appealed to the Court of Justice of the administrative procedure law. Appeal shall not suspend the decision action. ";

4. Turn off the article 30.
5. Make the article 36 paragraph 1 first subparagraph as follows: "1) long-term social care and social rehabilitation institutions in child care;".
The law shall enter into force on January 1, 2010.
The Parliament adopted the law in 2009 December 10.
