The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on social apartments and social residential houses" make law "on social apartments and social residential houses" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1997, no. 15; 2008, nr. 24) as follows: 1. Turn off the article 12, second sentence, the words "at least" three times.
2. To supplement the law with the following transitional provisions: "the amendments to the transitional provision in article 12 of this law for the social housing rental fees do not apply to the determination of social housing tenancy agreement concluded by 2010 February 1. If, on the expiry of the term of this rental agreement, the contract in accordance with article 11 of this law, the second subparagraph is extended, the rent shall be determined pursuant to this law, the provisions of article 12. '
The law shall enter into force on February 1, 2010.
The Parliament adopted the law in 2010 on January 14.
