The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: The technology Academy of Rezekne Constitution article 1. With this law the University of Rezekne is confirmed the constitutional meeting 18 December 2012 Rezekne technology adopted in the Constitution of the Academy.

The Constitution of the University of Rezekne confirmed 23 august 1994 the Cabinet of Ministers decision No. 117 "on the Constitution of the University of Rezekne". 9 June 1998 by the Cabinet of Ministers order No. 299 "for constitutional approval of University of Rezekne" was approved, the new Constitution of the University of Rezekne. 2007. April 26 with the law "on the Constitution of the University of Rezekne" was approved in 2006, April 11 the constitutional meeting adopted the Constitution of the University of Rezekne. 2012 on December 18, the constitutional meeting adopted the decision on the name change of the University of Rezekne in Rezekne on the technology Academy, at the same time adopted the Constitution of the Academy of technology of Rezekne. 1. General provisions 1. Rezekne Technology Academy (the Academy) is a national of the Republic of Latvia established higher education and scientific institutions which implement the academic and professional study programmes, as well as dealing with science, research, and artistic innovation. Autonomy gets rights to freely choose the Academy's founder, State cabinet, nominated persons and University law enforcement tasks for the types and shapes, as well as responsibility for the Academy for educational quality, focused and rational financial and material resources, the principle of democracy and University governing law and other laws. 3. the Academy has the right to develop and adopt the Constitution of the Academy, creating the Academy personnel, independently determine the course content and form, student admissions rules, basic scientific research, the Academy's organizational and governance structure, wage rates, not lower than Cabinet set rates, perform other actions that do not conflict with the Academy's founder and University statutory Academy operating principles and objectives. 4. the Academy is derived public person. Academy Rector is a senior officer of the Academy, the Academy's General Administration and without special authorisation shall represent the Academy. Its activities are governed by regulations approved by the Senate of the Academy. 33. the scientific laboratory (Centre, experimental station, etc.) is scientific activities the Department established for the conduct of research and is subject to the Science Department, Institute or Department. The College operates in accordance with the Charter of the College, adopted by the Senate of the Academy and by the Ministry of education and science as the recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers regulations issued by the Cabinet of Ministers. 39. the Academy with the decision of the Senate of the Academy may establish, re-organize, liquidate the Academy authorities, including public agencies, general secondary education and vocational secondary education institutions, as well as commercial companies and to be a member and founder of the society and enterprises.

Professional study programme profile subjects of the post of Assistant Professor may hold a person with higher education without a degree with the appropriate pasniedzam object for at least 7 years of practical service. 46. The lecturer or Assistant post can elect a person with doctorate or master's degree. Professional study programme profile subjects or Assistant lecturer posts can take a person with higher education without degree, if it is appropriate for the subject matter of the pasniedzam 5 years seniority in practice. 47. Leading scholars, researchers and research assistants may elect to post on the Scientific Council of the Institute, in accordance with the Scientific activities Act and the Senate approved the Academy regulations. 48. If the Academy is free or free academic position, the Senate of the Academy after the Academy's Faculty Council may decide not to announce a contest, but for a period of up to two years to hire a visiting, visiting associate, viesdocent, guest speakers or viesasistent. Visiting Associate, a visiting guest lecturer, viesdocent, and viesasistent have the same rights, responsibilities and remuneration as professors, associate professors, Assistant Professor, lecturer and assistants, but they cannot participate in the elected governing body of the Academy. 49. The Academy property, budget and economic activity. the property of the Academy 73:73.1. movable and immovable property that is donated to the Academy, which it inherited or purchased at their expense; 73.2. State budget resources purchased the property. Real estate is recorded in the land register as the Academy property; 73.3. The Academy's intellectual property; 45.6. real estate, which the Academy transferred free of charge to other public person or the derived State. 74. The Academy has the right to dispose of their property in the Constitution to achieve those objectives. The Academy is right in the name of the Republic of Latvia and foreign countries: 80.1. open departments, subsidiaries and representative offices; 80.2. conclude agreements with legal and natural persons, as well as perform other transactions according to the universities Act and other applicable laws and regulations; 49.9. invitation to tender, to acquire movable, immovable assets and securities in accordance with the existing laws and the activities of the Academy the purpose; 80.4. make the appropriate Academy profile economic activities where income is included in the budget of the Academy to its development as well as to invest the funds in other businesses obtained according to the purpose of the Academy; 80.5. receive and use the banks, credit institutions, as well as other organizations and individual donations and donations.
