The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: on the banks of the constitutional amendments in the University article 1. The Senate President, Vice-President and Secretary elections should participate in more than half the elected senator. 25. To convene the Senate, Senate President can or not less than one-third of the senators. The Senate meets at least three times a semester, and the break between them may not be longer than two months. The Senate is empowered to consider questions if it participates in the hearing not less than two-thirds of the senators. Under Senate rules decisions are made or by secret ballot, with a simple majority of senators present. 26. the functioning and competence of the Senate governing constituent Assembly approved regulations. 27. The Rector is the University's highest officer, implementing the University's overall administrative control and without special authorisation to represent the University. The Rector has a suspensive veto in the Senate. If the decision of the Rector does not agree, the matter is being reviewed in the Senate meeting. 31. The Audit Commission is the representative body of the University, who conducted the internal audit tasks to ensure the University's financial and business operations with the Republic of Latvia regulatory enactments, this Constitution and other universities internal laws. The Audit Commission consists of 5 members, 4 of whom are academic staff representatives and 1 student representative. The Audit Commission, by secret vote, elected by the constituent Assembly for three years. The Audit Commission member loses his powers if interrupted employment or student relationship with the University. The audit work of the Commission is governed by the provisions of the Audit Commission. 32. The academic Tribunal appearance: 32.1. academic staff and student applications for the Constitution of a specific University academic restrictions or violations of the law; 32.2. disputes between University officials, Department management institution located connecting relations; 32.3. The academic Tribunal consists of five members. Four members for three years, by secret vote, elected by the constituent Assembly of the academic staff. X. international cooperation contributes to the 90 universities in international cooperation with universities in other countries, the implementation of student and academic staff and university exchange programmes and international university cooperation programs in research. 91. Foreigners studying in the University for a fee you can take under the Education Act and the University Act on the basis of the general rule, concluding the contract (Agreement) for studying with the foreign institution or individual.
