The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of development planning system to make the development planning system Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2008, no. 13) the following amendments: 1. Express article 3, the second subparagraph by the following: "(2) the development planning system covering political and territorial development planning, as well as provide development planning association with the financial planning and national and local government bodies of the mutual coherence of decisions taken."
2. To make article 6, fourth subparagraph by the following: "(4) the long-term territorial development planning documents the area's long-term development priorities and spatial perspective, but the territory's medium-term development planning documents: the medium-term priorities and the measures necessary to implement them."
3. Express article 11, third subparagraph, in the second sentence by the following: "national development plan determines the policies and priorities of the development of the territory and the lines of action and their financing sources, Latvia's sustainable development strategy the development priorities and specific lines of action for the implementation of the medium term."
4. Supplement article 12 first paragraph with the sentence as follows: "Cabinet of Ministers create a collegial advisory body – the National Development Council, which according to its competence, monitor and coordinate the development planning system."
The law shall enter into force on 1 April 2010.
