The Saeima has adopted and the President issued the following law: amendments to the law "on the road" to make the law "on the road" (the Republic of Latvia Supreme Council and Government Informant, 1992, 13./14.nr.; The Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1994, no. 5; 1997, no. 22; in 2002, No 21; 2003, no. 23; 2004, no. 23; 2005, no. 24; 2006, nr. 24; 2007, 12, no. 24; 2009, 3., 8., no. 22) the following amendments: 1. Supplement article 1 second subparagraph with the sentence as follows: "the provisions of this Act do not apply to the streets if the text of this law is not exactly the contrary."
2. Supplement article 6 with 4.1 part as follows: "(41) a municipality with binding rules may provide that for parking on municipal road or street parking may be levied. These rules indicate the road or street (the stage), or a specific area, which includes a road or street (the complex), set the time in which it is placed on a vehicle in the municipal road or street is for a fee (for example, set the 24-hour, weekly), the amount and charging procedures. "
3. To supplement the law with article 23.1 as follows: "article 23.1. The security classification of the road network of the trans-European road network are classified in the order in which the way which often happens in traffic accidents, and road network safety in the road network is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. "
4. transitional provisions be supplemented by the following paragraph 17: "17. This law, article 6 of part 4.1 shall enter into force on January 1, 2011."
5. Add to the informative reference to directives of the European Union with paragraph 3 by the following: "3) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008, Directive 2008/96/EC on road infrastructure safety management."
The Parliament adopted Act 2010 on October 21.
