The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of chemical substances to make the chemicals Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, nr. 10; 2000, no. 3; 2001; 2003, 22 No 23 no; 2005, no. 15; 2007, nr. 24; Latvian journal, 2009, 182, 194. No.) the following amendments: 1. in article 4: to make the third paragraph as follows: "(3) the Ministry of the environment and its subordinated to existing supervisory and control authorities control the activities in chemicals, mixtures, chemical substances and for biocidal products in production and professional use, except that this article is referred to in the first paragraph, and supervise the operation of compliance and regulations in the field of environmental protection. Delegated to the Ministry of the environment national limited liability company "Latvian environment, geology and Meteorology Centre" (hereinafter referred to as the Centre) the task to issue with a chemical substance or mixture, including biocides, registration, provisional registration or authorization of use of related administrative provisions. Center of the manufacturer or importer's application for registration of biocidal products, the use of temporary registration permit or inventory number shall be assessed for a fee according to the price list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. replace the words "in part 3.1 State limited liability company" Latvian environment, geology and Meteorology Centre "" with the word "Centre";
to supplement the 3.1 part with point 4 as follows: "(4)) shall be the competent authority in respect of operations with biocides."
2. Turn off the fourth part of article 10.
3. Add to the informative reference to European Union directive to point 7 by the following: ' 7) the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 1998 Directive 98/8/EC concerning the placing of biocidal products on the market. "
